Amazing retro cafe, nice music, meals đ
I loved it đ
Mel's can't be blamed for my poor choices. The service was excellent on a busy Sunday morning. Thank you team for your efforts.
Absolutely perfect atmosphere for the retro feeling
The food is amazing, always hot and fresh
The staff is unmatched, very friendly, attentive and put up with the EXTREMELY outdated uniforms
This is my only issue with this restaurant
Great place, great food, great service. All day breakfast, AMAZING milk shakes! Elvis burger you have to try.
Our favourite breakfast place. Good prices, good quality. It's the comfort food you'd expect from a 50s diner.
I am so upset the food at Mels is no longer the same. They decided to take off the lobster Benedict, which was the only thing I would get the last 8 years. I would switch it up occasionally, but that was my main dish. It was switched out for a smoked salmon Benedict, which is so generic this is turning into every other breakfast spot. Today i fish and chips and it was over fried/cooked and super greasy. I can tell changes are being made in the restaurant and I donât think itâs for the better. I love the servers. So nothing against them, but mainly people come for a good food and this place Doesnât seem to have that the last few visits.
One of the highlights of Kitchener. Breakfast, milkshakes, skillets - all amazing
Great staff! Awesome food!
Always a pleasure. Wait staff is very attentive and friendly!
Melâs Diner offers a classic diner experience with friendly staff, good food, and a retro vibe. We came at 9:30 on a Sunday and had a 20-minute wait for a table to open for 5 people, which felt like a reasonable wait time. There was counter seating available for smaller groups. We ordered quite a lot of food, and all of it was pretty goodâ nothing life-changing but a good, solid diner breakfast, with surprisingly good coffee. I typically find diner coffee to be pretty underwhelming. Melâs menu also caters well for vegan and gluten-free people, which is something a lot of diners and breakfast places are missing. Melâs has been around for a long time, and it makes sense why good food at reasonable prices with something for everyone on their menu.

Staff are always great, food is always delicious and quick. Our go to breakfast joint
Feeling like back to Elvisâs time. Though itâs a busy restaurant during weekend, Melâs diner has variety of yummy food and waitressesâ hospitality with free flow of well brewed coffee. Weâll definitely be back again!
Good prices, awesome retro look, friendly staff and great food!
Nice that Melâs had a separate âgluten friendlyâ menu.
5-stars all the way! Amazing food...ordered pastrami sandwich...delicious! True diner vibe and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely visit again next time in Kitchener.
