Everything about this restaurant is fabulous. The service is friendly and efficient with out feeling rushed (a difficult balance to strike in a tapas-style place!), the atmosphere is eclectic and cozy, the food is delicious and generously portioned, and the prices are very reasonable considering all of the above. We've enjoyed ordering off of their regular menu but I highly recommend the Part-Italian series on Mondays! We couldn't believe everything that we got for $37pp - we even got to go home with leftovers! The menus are all very creative but still approachable for a variety of palettes. A great gem in Kitchener!

I came to Public Kitchen with high expectations after several friends recommended it—and it absolutely exceeded them! The food was exceptional, and the tapas-style concept made the experience so fun. We loved sharing and trying a variety of dishes. I’ll definitely be returning!

I really wanted to love this place. the food was honestly fantastic and well-prepared, definitely what you’d expect from a fine dining restaurant. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. The bartender/waiter was drinking behind the bar (not very discreetly) and even more concerning, he was offering drinks and his phone number to my underage daughter. That’s completely unacceptable, especially at an establishment that’s supposed to be upscale. It’s a shame because the kitchen clearly knows what they’re doing, but management seriously needs to get their front-of-house staff under control. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a professional or family-friendly dining experience.

This place was worth every nickel and dime spent. From our entrance to our exit, the staff at PUBLIC Kitchen & Bar were very accommodating, highly knowledgeable about their menu, and and fully deserving of a 5-star rating. I would highly recommend you give this place a shot. You'll be glad you did. This restaurant is best experienced with 4+ people - in my opinion - due to the sharing atmosphere. Thank you, PUBLIC Kitchen & Bar - I shall return!

I’ve been here twice now and I’ve had great experience each time. Definitely don’t judge a book by its cover when it comes to this restaurant. The inside has a beautiful atmosphere that has been thoughtfully crafted. The menu focusses on tapas and shareable plates. We got their smoked salmon rosti’s which they are known for and they were so yummy. As well we ordered a cheese plate, their grilled tuna, oysters, as well as burrata. Everything was yummy and had lots of flavour. The service has always been amazing, they work as a team and take care of each other as well as their customers. Their pecorino wine is probably one of my favourites. I can definitely see us coming back here specifically for their one dollar oysters on Wednesday. PUBLIC keep doing what you’re doing !!

The food is always excellently prepared, regardless of whether it is a regular tapas night or one of their specialty nights.
