Great food and service
Found this place on Trip advisor. Actually finding it was a bit of a challenge. It's in the basement of a building. It was about 2 o'clock in the afternoon so not busy lunch time and we had the place to ourselves. Not to mention the snowstorm. The lovely lady there was pulling double duty as cook and waitress and she did a great job. I had a brisket sandwich and my wife the pulled pork. While good sandwiches, the fries really stole the show. Great crispy fresh cut. I don't often get to downtown Kitchener but I would go here again. I understand there is another location in Waterloo.

Great experience in the middle of no where, but that’s ok!! Only disappointment was there was no alcohol, but that’s ok. The food made up for it!!!

Group of 13 sat for dinner 2.5 hours before an event. Several people left without food because the food took too long.

The poutine is my mom’s favourite and I can see why! I tried the pulled pork sandwich this time and it was a little on the dry side, but still tasty enough that I would order it again. The portion sizes are generous for the price, which is always a win.
There is plenty of seating inside and if it had not been so cold, the outdoor patio would have been perfect. It looks like such a great spot to sit. It was a quiet afternoon when we visited, the food came out quickly and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Best poutine, great portion sizes
Went the TCCK yesterday and was wholly underwhelmed. One guy working, maybe 6 tables occupied (two couples walked out after 5 minutes, plus a Skip driver waited 15 minutes to pick up an order)
I had the Best Burger In Town and my wife had the barbecue chicken hoagie.
My burger was fine. The hoagie was fine. Fries were okay. Steel chair was uncomfortable. Washrooms were disgusting. Service was bad (we were there, sat, ordered, waited 50 minutes for acceptable food - 35 minutes after we ordered, we were served). Was it hard to find? Yes. Was I expecting more? Yes. Would I go back? No.

Restaurantji Recommends
This is everything we expected it to be based on other reviews. We got a bbq brisket hoagie and dtk poutine which has brisket, pulled pork and bacon. Food was phenomenal, very good value and also friendly staff. The only downside is that they don’t sell alcohol or have games anymore

These fries with melted mozzarella were exactly what I needed — hot, crispy, and loaded with cheese. Nothing fancy, just straight-up comfort food done right. Great portion, served fresh, and super satisfying. Would definitely get it again!

I tried the burger and I found fly on it .
The owner was a very dirty person with no hygiene.
I will never go to this place again nor recommend to anyone .
Customer service was so poor I had to wait for 25 minutes to serve .
Best service

The best fish and chips in the city highly recommend trying them if you haven’t. Be sure to place an order early as they often sell out! There batter has dill and makes for a just a little more flavour then the generic fish and chips. They make good ribs too!
