I’ve heard a lot about this sushi market, so I decided to try both small (California roll)and large roll( dragon roll). The packaging was sturdy and nice, with a cute drawing of an 'S' on the bag! All the ingredients were very fresh, although I didn’t really like the crust on top of the dragon roll. I added avocado to the roll, which I think was a mistake as it made it too heavy and fatty.

Congratulations! You just found your new favourite sushi spot! I thought I knew good sushi and I've since been humbled. Everything I've tried has been 10/10. Even, what I'd consider weird ones like, the vegan coconut sushi roll had me questioning their sanity when reading it on the menu; until I tried it! It's now in my top 3! They clearly understand flavour synergy and are true artists with every menu item they craft. As great as the sushi is, the owners are even better! I was treated as part of the family since the first phone call and each visit since! I can't recommend the humble lotus enough! Simply the best sushi spot in KW.
Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegan options clearly labeled on the menu. Arguably their best dishes are vegan.
Dietary restrictions: Have a conversation and I'm certain they'll accommodate:)

Ok so it took me a lot longer than it should have to finally try Humble Lotus because I had all but given up on sushi in KW after trying recommendation after recommendation that all ended up being trash compared to what I was used to in TO. Today I was really craving sushi so Steve and I decided to finally give Humble Lotus a try. The second we walked in we felt so welcomed by the family that owns it. It was such a beautiful interaction and they were so helpful and kind! Our food was so delicious and you could tell it was made with love ❤️

This place is an absolute gem. Went for the first time today, and I was treated amazing by the entire staff. I'm sorry for misremembering names, but the lady that took my order was so nice. You don't really see that level of engagement and customer service anywhere anymore. The food is even better than the customer service. Tuna poke bowl was so fresh and tasty. The spicy ponzu sauce was a great addition. Also did a few peices of sashimi and my god they were so fresh, and MASSIVE. If you're a sushi fan this is by far the best place in the region. I'll definitely be back as soon as I can.

Update to July 2024:still great. Two of us shared 3 rolls and 3 pieces each of nigiri and it was too much. Great portions and very fresh.
Super sweet new sushi shop that is close to downtown. The al la carte sushi options is unique and the rolls that i had were tasty. The drink options were nice too. Will definitely head back to try out more options.
