Went for a comedy show and I am surprised by how nice this restaurant is. We ordered oysters that were PERFECT, and a chicken sandwich & burger that were honestly the best burgers we've ever had hands down.

Excellent service from start to finish. It was a one-person operation, and she handled everything flawlessly. Very attentive throughout the meal — we mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary, and she surprised us with a beautiful dessert that made the night extra special. Big shoutout to Christma — you rock! Your warmth and attention to detail truly made our evening memorable. Highly recommend!

Service was really slow considering the restaurant wasn't busy at all. The birthday girl barely ate because everything tasted like fish to her and she's allergic. Drinks and food were good but took a long time to get them.

The Walper is not the grand hotel I visited many years ago. Gone are the mirrors, white table cloths, elegant atmosphere. The only diningroom open now for dinner or breakfast is a low-ceiling basement sports bar, 2 elevator rides from the lobby.... many TV screens, hunky food... it was OK but not at all as I had expected. Staff is friendly and attentive.

Not a huge menu, but definitely something for everyone. We shared the baked goat cheese and the feta bowl and both were extremely tasty and filling. Lovely wine and cocktail menu as well. We never felt rushed and really enjoyed the evening.

Really cool spot we stumbled upon by accident, now whenever I'm in the area I stop by for a drink at least. The service and food are always amazing! The staff have made great recommendations for things to do in the area.

Since my last review (3 star) TWH has picked it up. Beer on tap selection is small but good. Sandwiches and burgers quite good. Service very good. And they have CFL games on one of the screens. I'm now very happy to eat and drink here.
Loved the Atmosphere! Great Service!! We had Oysters on the 1/2 shell special on a Thursday! olives,,Salad, Tempura Fried Watermelon what a treat and a Bread board! Sahil, the Manager was very nice, it was my Birthday and he treated us to a glass of champagne each!! Priya was our server and she was adorable, so very nice! Made my Birthday very special. This reminds me of a speakeasy so beautiful in the Wolper Hotel building underground in Kitchener, Ontario. One of my best birthday experiences for sure!

Neat place, good drinks, nice atmosphere and staff. Was in there a few days ago and overheard a couple employees discussing one of the drinks and the recipe they were talking through didn't match the ingredients in the menu, no idea if they do the same with food items or not where one ingredient list is printed and another is served but might want to be wary of that.
Also of note, the ingredient difference in the drink seemed to be replacing a liqueur with simple syrup so also the restaurant padding their bottom line fraudulently

Typical hotel bar, below average food with exorbitant prices. The bartender was great. The dessert menu was out of 50% of the items. The one dessert that they did have was mehhh and took over 20 minutes to receive. There was only one other table in the house.

Went for Sunday Brunch which was a disappointment to say the least. The major issue was the level of service from our server. Frankly, it was difficult to determine who our server was. From the time we sat down (reservation) the serve was completely off. When asked if we wanted a drink, a glass of wine was ordered. After 15 mins ( perhaps the manager) approached us asking if we wanted to order. He was advised that a glass of wine had not been delivered as yet. The glass of wine appeared and the server disappeared. This wasn't necessarily an issue at this point as we were having our wine and chatting. Eventually, we asked about our meals and they were ordered, along with another glass of wine.....wine did not appear. The food came out and we again reminded the server regarding the wine. Now, as we were leisurely eating our meal, another order for 5 oz glass of wine refill was requested, and yes, after waiting for 15 min, the server was reminded at which time she brought a 9 oz glass as an apology. Yes, the wine was accepted and drank, however this does not negate the level of service that TWH Social would aspire to. The Caesar salad was underwhelming and Eggs Benedict was next in line. I would not recommend this location for brunch!
