Winnie's Gluten-Free Kitchen

Our first visit: A long line up means good things. My husband and stepson are over the moon with the gluten-free options. My stepson even more so with their dedicated nut freeness, and my vegan husband has several nice choices. He loved the vegan chocolate cake roll.?

Best gluten free butter tarts I’ve had! So good! Their oh carmels are absolutely divine! Their breakfast sandwiches are excellent and their carrot cake is perfection! What can I say?! I live in Guelph and drive to Kitchener for Winnie’s!!!

I picked up a few items while I was in town for a work event. As someone with celiac disease, I’ve come to accept that gluten-free versions don’t always taste as good, but at Winnie’s, you can hardly tell the difference with some of their treats. The Oreo brownie was absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend it. There was only one éclair left when I arrived, so I had to snag it, and I was pleasantly surprised—the filling was fantastic, and the shell was just as good. The carrot cake was also really tasty. However, I have to take off one star for the Jamaican patty. I was really excited to try it since I hadn’t had one in years, but it was a letdown. The shell was crumbly, and the filling had an unpleasant aftertaste. That one item was a disappointment, but overall, everything else was great. I definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

This is becoming a habit! Having friends over for some pizza, and picked up deserts from Winnie's last night. Great selection, could have brought home one of everything. We are not gluten intolerant, but this is our favorite bakery around. An easy 5 stars, and an easy return to put desert spot.

Most disappointing GF bakery in town both in service and in food. A few months ago I guess they saw me leave Lady Glaze across the street and I was not allowed to shop in the store because I might be “contaminated”. I understand food allergies but not being allowed in unless you’re from a celiac household and not having been to any other non celiac friendly business is way over the top. They acted like I had some kind of virus.
I ended up purchasing a loaf of their bread from a third party vendor in town (one I was allowed into) when my favourite GF bakery was on holiday, and it’s got the most bizarre almost crumpet-like spongy texture. It’s edible but not good. I will not (be allowed to) return to Winnie’s or be purchasing their products elsewhere again.

OMG! You would not even know that these were gluten-free, and dairy free considering how moist and fresh and soft everything was my daughter, and I took a bite of the brownie with the cookies and cream topping and we literally went “mmmmmmmmmm!” And melted into this chair
If you’re in the area and you want to try a really good bakery, this must have go to.

I got an amazing three layer (multiple flavors) cake here for my wife's birthday that was decorated creatively and professionally based on my suggestions (I requested a theme from a popular animated movie she liked growing up.) She was blown away by the detail and the overall presentation! Special thanks to Victoria who took my idea and ran with it. True artistry, worth the price. I've included a picture but it's still inside the box, so if you really want to see what Winnie's is capable of, you'll have to order one! It was beautiful and delicious.

Winnie’s catered the desserts for my cousin’s wedding celebration last night in Hamilton. The sweets were 11/10. I had these strawberry blondies, 50/10. I’m a big gluten and dairy snob, and I couldn’t turn my nose at that dessert table. It was lit af. Nothing was dry - everything was delicious. I was freaking out about it. Still am probably. If you’re reading this have a blondie for me.

I was promised a Birthday cake in one week and Winnie's let me down. As far as I can tell they wrote the wrong date on their order form and my daughter is without a birthday cake.

A celiac’s wonderland!!! This is without a doubt the best place to get gf goodies. It’s impossible to pick a favourite item! Everything is so fresh. The employees here are truly the sweetest and super knowledgeable about ingredients and make the best recommendations.

This is by far the best bakery I have ever been to (in general, not just gluten-free specific). Picked up the coffee cake and butter tart bar which were both dairy free AND gluten free. I can’t believe it tastes this good - I’m from Toronto visiting friends but can confidently say I will definitely be back!!!
