I liked Ye's in Kitchener much better than the one in Waterloo. Food tasted great, staff were super friendly and atmosphere inside is nice despite odd location / not looking so great from the outside.

Ye’s Sushi in Kitchener offers a clean and well-maintained dining space that makes for a pleasant experience every time. The tablet-based ordering system is super convenient and makes navigating the all-you-can-eat menu quick and easy. It’s great for groups or casual sushi nights when you want variety without the wait.

While the staff aren’t the most outgoing or warm, they’ve always been efficient and never rude or inattentive. Service is consistent, and food arrives promptly, which is appreciated.

The atmosphere is nice and modern, but I do feel it could lean more into showcasing Japanese culture to enhance the overall dining experience. A bit more ambiance or cultural touches could really elevate the vibe.

Overall, it’s a solid spot for sushi lovers looking for a reliable and easy dining option.

No thanks, value is not great. Full price for a 13 year old. Floors are sticky. Everything fried had a bad taste. Always asking for cash payments

Been to Ye's Sushi a couple of times and today's visit will be the last time I will ever go there.
When my daughter and I arrived for supper, it was pretty empty in the restaurant and it wasnt very hard to figure out that the Wait Staff was talking about us. Our waitress was good taking our empty dishes away until towards the end of our meal when she decided to take our plates that were directly in front of us and we were still eating. So damn rude.
Well lets get to the best part. So we had a few pieces left over because we got full so we asked for a take out container. I understand All you Can Eat places dont like take out containers but we didn't want to waist the few pieces we had left (maybe 6 or 7 pieces left) Our Waitress told us if we want to take it home it will cost a additional $10. If we only had 2 or 3 pcs left over it would be different but we are waisting food. I never heard of such a thing but we said ok cause we dont want to waist the food.
While she brought the container my daughter and I talked about it and we decided we don't want to take it, not with another $10. When she came back I apologized to her telling her that we decided to leave the food. Than she said that we have to pay the $10 anyway cause we are waisting food. I asked her why we are being charged extra since we are paying the $40 pp so why do we have to pay extra. She walked away. Than another waitress came over (the other waitress told her what's going on in their language) she picked up the tablet to show us all the food we ordered and told us that a Sushi roll of 8pcs alone is $13. I told her that's not my problem, its all you can eat. If its too expensive to make, don't have it as an option. My daughter and I walked away to pay for our food as we did not have any interest in causing a scene.
Upon leaving, both waitresses stared at us, laughing and clearly talking about us.
I find it so degrading and unprofessional of service staff to be making fun of their customers and than making up rules and increasing the price is so beyond disrespectful.

This will be the last time ever going to this restaurant and considering the price is $40 pp...options are very limited.

Shame on you for treating your customers this way.

Love this place. Especially for the price its amazing food and service. I've been here a few times now and its always been worth it. I also come here now as my go to sushi place recently. The portions are good and the sushi is so fresh and delicious.

After having real sushi, Ye's seems kind of sub par in comparison. It is rare to find really great quality sushi at an all you can eat restaurant.

The method of ordering from an iPad makes it easy to find what you're looking for and for the wait staff to process the orders quickly.

Honest Review – Disappointed and Underwhelmed

I’ve been to many sushi restaurants over the years, and unfortunately, this one was by far the most disappointing.

The experience felt off right from the start. At $40 per person, I expected a certain level of service, but what we received was, frankly, strange. The staff didn’t come across as particularly welcoming, which set the tone for the rest of the visit.

What really threw me was the use of warehouse-style carts to deliver food. While I can appreciate efficiency, the presentation matters—especially when you're paying a premium. To add to that, having a paper receipt sitting directly on top of the food to identify the table felt unhygienic and off-putting.

Visually, the sushi was nowhere near what was shown on the menu. In fact, it looked so different (and underwhelming) that I didn’t even think to take a photo—a first for me when dining out. The final red flag? Sticky floors. Always a concerning sign in any restaurant setting.

Unfortunately, this place missed the mark for me on multiple levels. Even if I were offered a complimentary meal, I wouldn’t return.

Price has now gone up to $40. Owner, come on now, you know your food isn't that good. This is not a high-end sushi restaurant. You sell fries, for goodness sake (which I'm not complaining about but merely proving a point). Drop the price and people won't complain as much. Updating your dinnerware is not an excuse to hike up the prices. You don't pass that along to your costumers.

I'm writing to express my significant disappointment with the recent decline in food quality at what was once my favorite sushi restaurant. For years, this establishment was a go-to for its exceptional sushi and vibrant flavors. Unfortunately, my most recent visit revealed a stark and disheartening change.
The sushi rolls, once a highlight, were notably overcooked and chewy, a far cry from the delicate texture I had come to expect. Furthermore, the rolls contained very little fish, making them feel insubstantial and unsatisfying. The overall flavor profile was also severely lacking; the fresh, nuanced tastes I associated with this restaurant were conspicuously absent, replaced by a dull and uninspired blandness.
It's truly a shame to witness such a marked decrease in standards. I sincerely hope the management takes these concerns seriously and endeavors to restore the culinary excellence that once defined this establishment. Until then, I cannot recommend it based on my latest experience.

We went on a Sunday evening. The service was terrible. No one greeted us, and the food was delivered by servers to one end of the table with no indication of what was being served, and no smile or indication of any interest at all in our happiness. The sushi was not fresh, and the sushi rolls were smothered in overly sweet sauces. At 37.99 per person, we expected much better.

Our Ye’s order through Skip the Dishes was super disappointing today. The salmon portions were tiny or non existent as seen in this photo of our “salmon” avocado cucumber roll. Quality has varied significantly in our last few orders.
