We are big fans! Love the patio in the summer and the English Pub atmosphere inside. We often go in for Senior breakfast which is very reasonable price for smaller appetites. I would have given 5 stars except we have found it occasionally inconsistent with the quality of some of the food. The last 2 times we were in, the ham with breakfast was like dry leather. I am not one to complain so I ate most of it regardless. I won’t order the ham with breakfast again. Also, they don’t know how to make a cup of tea which is amusing for an English pub! My friend and I ordered tea and it came with lukewarm water. The water for tea has to be boiled not drawn from a hot water dispenser for coffee. Terrible cup of tea, undrinkable. Stopped ordering tea with breakfast. Unfortunately I don’t drink coffee or I would go to that. I am hoping that the management and/or staff read this so that they can correct these issues. Otherwise love going here and enjoy the chicken wings, salads, delicious sandwiches and fries.

Had a wonderful breakfast experience, coffe was hot and fresh, staff was friendly and outgoing. And the food was top notch. Would recommend this place not just as a pub but as a wonderful breakfast nook.

Unique little ice cream shop and cafe also located on the premises. Great selection of ice cream, sherbets, baked goodies and hot beverages. Check it out, you'll be glad you did. Located just across the bridge by the traffic lights.

Popped in for a quick burger and a half pint, both were excellent. If I lived closer this would be a regular hangout.

Had the pulled pork nachos! Really good! Chips are made in house and come out warm and fresh..so good. Good selection of beer, however they were out of some of my favorites..first world problems..

My family and I enjoyed a day in Lakefield so we stopped in at the Canoe and Paddle for some lunch. Our server was so lovely and attentive. She was good people. We all enjoyed our lunches. The food was delicious. The songs were good mild rock and roll hits.

Food was fantastic. The server Jeremy was terrible. He didn’t introduce himself when first coming to the table. “We don’t have any specials today so you know the drill”. We ordered our drinks, appetizers and mains at once. When we got our appetizer he dropped it on the table and walked away. Then went to grab our drinks and decided to have a conversation with his co workers while holding the drinks for about 2-3 minutes. The door coming out to the patio had a horrible squeak and he continued to stand in the door way chatting swinging the door back and forth.
Between appetizer and main we were never asked if we would like another drink (which we did) we almost wanted to ask another server if we could get a drink but hoped he would come back. When we got our food (After him standing in the doorway again, holding our plates for a good one to two minutes, chatting with his coworkers in the squeaky door )he told me he mistakenly ordered my dinner as a kids order. He did not apologize but asked if I wanted him to get a larger portion ready. I said No , it wouldn’t be at the same time as my husbands. I told him to not bother. He then said “ you will be fine right? it's the same but smaller”. We then ordered drinks to eat with our meal and finally got to eating our food. The food itself was fantastic, but we never got our drinks until after our food was done.
I am so disappointed in this restaurant as I work and live in the village and would want to come back as frequently as I could on date nights with my husband, but I will never step into this place again. I don’t usually complain about service, but this was ridiculous And to top it off, we were never comped for the fish and chips that were mistakenly ordered in the wrong size and our meal was $120 which we would’ve happily paid if it was correct. Going out for dinner is a luxury these days and I don’t want to feel like I am bothering my waiter when that is his job.
