As always, the treats we purchased for my daughter's sweet 16 dinner, were AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS 😋. The Dirty Shirley was fantastic and the customer service was the icing on today's visit. A smile and hello, having someone who takes pride in their products and describes them enthusiastically and then offers a good-bye and have a nice day, are not something I experience often these days ☺️”

The bun held everything together without getting soggy — a small detail, but a game-changer. Every bite was a mix of bold flavor and serious comfort. My girlfriend went with the steak, cooked medium-rare, and it was spot-on. Tender, juicy, and seasoned just right — no fancy sauces needed. It came with a side of roasted potatoes and asparagus. Service was friendly and relaxed — not rushed, but always attentive. Whether you’re out for a date night or just want to treat yourself, this place hits the mark on food, vibe, and location. We’ll definitely be back.”

“During non-Covid times, loved eating there. So busy. Tonight's take-out Halibut & Chips were far from good. The halibut was not fresh and had a spoiled taste. So disappointing. Will wait til they are open and food is fresher.”

The service was fast and friendly and we were seated immediately! The restaurant is cute and the canoe above the bar was perfect! The state of the restaurant could use a bit of a pick me up - the chairs we sat in had stains on them, and there were a lot of areas where paint was coming off walls because of chairs banging into them, etc. However, these things you can notice in daylight did not deter from the pub-vibe of the place!

We arrived just in time for happy hour (unplanned!) We started with the tragically dip appetizer. The pitas to dip was good! We aren’t professionals but we weren’t sure if the Guac and queso were homemade but the salsa sure seemed like it. I of course went for the 1/2 price chicken wings and my husband had fish and chips!

The fish was so crispy and fries were comparable to a chip truck! My chicken wings (buffalo mixed with ranch) were crispy and hot (temperature!) and delicious.

We enjoyed our lunch here and may be back!”

“Ordered an 8 inch, 3 layered, red velvet, coconut cake for my birthday and they delivered flawlessly. Walking in, the place was very nice with a wonderful aroma in the air and very alluring sweets available for purchase that all looked incredible. They handed me my cake and were very kind, and when it was time to eat it, it was absolutely everything I wanted in every bite. I, and my family approve!!”

“I enjoy Pizza Hut pizza; have for many years. I would say they have reduced the fat (grease) content a bit, but the flavor has also dropped off a bit. My pick-up order was prepared promptly and accurately. The Lakefield Pizza Hut does have tables if you care to eat your 'take-out' there, but is not really a restaurant with table service. So the rating of 'atmosphere' is really not applicable.”

“Been going there for over 25 years and have yet to have one bad meal, or bad service. Some of the best food I have ever had. When I was out of the area in Toronto they were my gold standard of Chinese food, and I never found a restaurant that matched thier quality in Chinese food.”

“Best Mighty McMuffin I ever had. Well constructed, English muffin toasted to perfection. Ample bacon - great sandwich and fast service. When arrived drive through was out of service for a brief 15 minute maintenance. Staff inside were quick polite and efficient.”

“My partner has been going to this place regularly for a couple of years now. I tried it one night and ordered fish and chips (I ask for onion rings instead of fries) I thought it was just a lucky batch and tried again. They are amazing each time! Crispy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. They are now a part of our normal take out line up. Customer service is amazing and food is great!!”

“Poco Burro is absolutely my favourite burrito place in Peterborough! They have a good selection of fresh toppings and sauces, and I always love to chat when I come in for my work lunch breaks (almost every day lol). Along with all the classic protein options like carnitas, pollo asado, and barbacoa, they actually have a solid selection of vegetarion options that go beyond just bean and cheese or sauteed veggies. Though their bean and cheese burrito is nothing to be slept on. If you're looking for a solid, reliable staple burrito place, you've found it.”
