“Choosing Chemong Lodge was the best decision we made for our wedding. Sara, is amazing to work with from start to finish. She flawlessly planned our menu, made suggestions for timing of the schedule and beautifully decorated the tables. The weather was all over the place leading up to our day and Sara set the venue to accommodate our preferred out door wedding and prepared a gorgeous indoor location just in case the rain arrived. We were lucky and the rain held off. We enjoyed the gorgeous back garden for our ceremony and then moved indoors for the most delicious brunch buffet you will ever eat. Our guests are still raving about the food. Also - I want to highlight the entire staff that helped to make the day so very special. The Chemong staff are extra special- friendly, fun, hardworking - I can’t say enough about how amazing the staff were. If you want a stress-free, magical wedding day, I highly recommend Chemong Lodge. Chemong truly goes above and beyond.”

“Only tried this restaurant for the first time about seven or eight years ago… as from the outside it looks like a dive, and I live in Bridgenorth and pass it daily - but one night on my way home from a bonspiel in Ennismore I was exhausted and tired and thought maybe it’s open. I’ll try it…. Was very pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent - some of the best hot and sour soup I’ve ever had- and enjoyed the Singapore noodles. I thought the portions were quite generous and reasonably priced. The ingredients cells were a real cut above most of the dishes I’ve had from other restaurants, not only in Peterborough, but in other areas  or I have lived in Ontario. So tell me go back you On my next visit, I suggested to my brother-in-law, who lives in Vancouver and loves good Asian food, suggested we try the stirfry beef with green pepper and black bean sauce. I would never have ordered that in 1 million years. But was absolutely delicious. He thought so as well and said it was the best he’d ever tasted and that the sauce was obviously made from scratch. Have since tried it over the years and during Covid and have never been disappointed. There isn’t much in Peterborough that I find worth ordering - but have always been very pleased with my meals from the Silver Stone - I know after Covid they were having difficulty with pricing as they only want very fresh ingredients that are of the best quality that they can obtain in Peterborough. And fought with the challenge of raising prices to reflect their costs and losing customers. I know they didn’t wanna cut corners or change the quality of what they were offering. I’ve compared their prices in the last year or so with those of other Asian restaurants in the area and they are not out of line .”

They have a good selection of fresh toppings and sauces, and I always love to chat when I come in for my work lunch breaks (almost every day lol). Along with all the classic protein options like carnitas, pollo asado, and barbacoa, they actually have a solid selection of vegetarion options that go beyond just bean and cheese or sauteed veggies. Though their bean and cheese burrito is nothing to be slept on. If you're looking for a solid, reliable staple burrito place, you've found it.”
