The Market on Stoney Lake

I was super disappointed.
I use to come here years ago all the time for the pizza
And market to buy baked goods and bread and what not

Now its just an outdoor bbq patio .. now I didnt try the food it could be pretty good but mostly live music which is awesome and lots of patio drinkers .. I dont drink so wasn't my cup of tea so I left but could be a really cool time for people to be social and what not

This is a place you have to go. Amazing food. Great experience. Friendly service. Had a great dinner. Portions excellent. Would highly recommend and go again and again.

Excellent excellent food! The brisket pizza was the die for, the brisket itself is amazing, juicy and tasty, definitely our go to place for summer evenings at the cottage!!

Owner does not help the community.

I’m late to review, but highly doubt anything has changed. The the seafood is absolutely phenomenal. It has been such a long and many other seafoods have been consumed, yet their food here still stands out. When they re open, make a point to go here. You won’t regret it.

My partner and I came here about a year ago when we were staying at a cottage nearby. We would be arriving at around 7:45 when the restaurant closes at 8 so we called ahead to see if they would still be able to serve us. The person on the phone said YES so we were on our way.

When we arrived right at 7:45, the hostess welcomed us and offered to seat us on the patio. As she was walking us to our table, an older woman approached us and told us that the kitchen was closed, very loudly and rudely. We began to say that we had called, but she was adamant and said something like "if you want a beer at the bar, sure, but food's not happening."

We ended up leaving and going to Harvey's. But we were confused - we called ahead because we knew it was close to closing time, and the hostess was prepared to seat us upon arrival. It seemed like it was okay to serve us until that other woman saw us.

I don't want to jump to conclusions, but we were the only people of colour in the restaurant, and potentially in the city lol. We felt disrespected and offended. We wanted to be mindful of the restaurant's time which is why we called ahead, but it didn't seem like they wanted to be mindful of ours.

Great pizza! I had the herbivore. I’m not a fan of pizzas that are greasy / overly cheesy and The Market On Stoney Lake pizza was fresh and delicious. :)
