What a great café! They have milk alternatives and the varista worked with me to get my take-out latté just so. I grabbed 3 of their gluten free options, some of their British treats, and a brownie that looked irresistible. Their pricing is very fair, which is what allowed me to go a little crazy with my purchases. I will definitely make this a regular stop when in LakefieldDietary restrictions: They had lots if options for the gluten free eaters

Pros: Excellent selection of UK teas and confectionary.Delicious ice dream (though not kawartha)Unique baked goodsCons: Holy Batman did not expect to be charged $58 for a dozen doughnuts and two ice creamsThe owner scoffed out loud when her absolutely lovely employee gave us a little extra ice cream for buying their supply of doughnuts… not the expected pleasant and grateful attitude towards a customer that was so enthusiastic about the quality of baked goods. Because of the owner’s attitude, won’t be back.Update: the doughnuts were not even that great. Pretty dry. Maybe because it was the end of the day.

Love this spot. Good service.Good ice cream. Great location that is a bit awkward right now due to street construction on the river road. However, this is a favorite stop for lots and lots of travelers and locals alike.

Took a beautiful walk last weekend along the trail towards Lakefield on Easter to explore the town. To our pleasant surprise this cafe was open and offered plenty of plant-based options!! The owner Gillian was so sweet and welcoming. So much so that we have decided to go again this weekend! Definitely our new favourite spot in Lakefield! :)~Matthew & Selina
