Great place to relax and enjoy live music, great food, and scenery. Patio was great.
Haven't been in a long time. We took our boat in... couldn't find anyplace to park it... even the waterside gas station was full of parked boats (don't think it should ever be). It was the Sunday of the July long weekend. They were out of many menu items. They took over an hour to bring our food - they did warn us this would happen. But when it arrived, it was a kids sized meal. They must have ran out of the food as they cooked my our meals. The waitress was good, but the restaurant was clearly overwhelmed, understaffed and didn't have enough food. It was a very disappointing experience.
Nice patio, food was amazing. Has guest spots to dock you boat.
We luckily stumbled across the Habour House Tap & Kitchen after 3 hours of driving through many small towns that just didn't have what we were looking for. We were about 10 minutes from cutting our losses when this place popped up on the map and we decided to give it a shot.
I am so glad we did! Nick, our server, was absolutely wonderful. Attentive, welcoming, and knowledgable about not only the menu but the area as well.
We got 2 apps (which were incredibly generous in size), the deconstructed bruschetta, which was incredible, as well as the Cauliflower fritters which were also fantastic - the sauce on the those was amazing!
For mains we had an order of fish & chips, and the harbour burger. Both of which were also generous in size. The burger was very tasty, unfortunately I was too full from the apps to finish it but I would absolutely get it again. I got a caesar salad as my side which was great too. The fish & chips was great as well, personally I would have preferred a little salt (which we certainly could have asked for, but we wanted to try it the way it came first).
All in all, the food was wonderful and the service was even better.
When asked if we wanted dessert, we told Nick we we're going to go for a walk and maybe come back for dessert. He recommended a route for us to take on our walk and it was absolutely beautiful.
Thank you Nick, and Harbour House! We will definitely be back.
*Sorry for the no food pics, we were far too hungry* haha
We recently hosted a celebration at this venue, and I must say, the team was incredibly accommodating, ensuring all our needs were met. The food was exceptional, and the service was attentive and efficient. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!
We had our wedding at Harbour House last month and the staff and service were amazing! The owner, Ashley, offered us a tasting for the wedding, and we fell in love with their fish and chips! We decided to go without a wedding planner and their manager Allison was a huge help with the wedding planning process. She was super thoughtful in her questions and she and her staff did amazing job setting up the decorations just the way I had imagined it. They were also able to accommodate dietary restrictions we had for some of our guests. Would definitely recommend this hidden gem!
We went to this restaurant for Father’s Day.
Very mixed reviews…our server Nick was outstanding. Two of us had the cranberry chicken club sandwich, it was tasty, the size was just ok, fries were only warm. One of us had a pulled pork sandwich the portion size was disappointing as well as it was cold and again only cool to warm fries. We ordered chicken finger for a grandson and to our surprise, no plum sauce only BBQ. The only meal that was a good size portion was the fish was and it was hot and chips only warm
We did address these issues with the manger. They did bring out a new pulled port sandwich again portion size was very disappointing. They did take a few dollars off our bill, it remained an expensive evening out considering the issues above.
We won’t be rushing back.
Great restaurant and food was so good! This is the place to be! Wow what a wonderful place!!!!
Harbour House is currently a great place to dine in Alcona. Ambiance, great menu & cocktails with super staff serving you in a marine setting is a great experience. Highly recommend to try it as one of the true dining gems & it will become a favourite spot to return again & again.
The server we had was excellent!

We had a fantastic experience at Harbour House Grill! The food was outstanding – we tried the beef dip, Harbour Smash Burger, and fish tacos, and all three dishes were delicious. The service was equally impressive – friendly, attentive, and quick. Highly recommend this place for a great meal and atmosphere!

My boyfriend and I had a great date here, the service was phenomenal and the food matched. The space was intimate, pretty and comfortable. Would 10/10 recommend and I can’t wait to try more on their menu and enjoy some of their events they put on.

The service was extremely slow for a Saturday afternoon. One server was serving, bar tending and bussing. But the server was friendly.
We ordered the Filthy Bird Sandwich which was good, a Smash Burger with had too much bun for the meat & Fish & Chips. The fish was under cooked but the fries were really good.
