This is an adorable bakery worth the detour to Little Britain! They have a great selection of tarts, hot food and coffee. They also have frozen dinners and gluten free foods in a freezer.

The fresh bakery goods are not gluten free, but this place would be celiac safe as they have a huge selection of frozen, individually wrapped sweet treats from a commercial bakery made off site.

So disappointed the filling ofnoe an bytter tart was runny and grainy like the filling didn't set and the sugar crystallized or was not cooked thriugh to dissolve sugar, bottom was underbaked. Not enjoyable. I had stopped to get a treat for my bday the Butter tart was supposed to be the highlight, tiny $3.50, worth it if it's quality. Donut was good but maybe just good bc tart was so bad &, pull apart bread was wet and underrated or was just to wet from toppings to bake properly.

Driving back to the city and noticed this little bakery decided to stop in for some treats. The blueberry fritter was $2.50 and a bag of 4cheese buns five dollars. They tested like they old and we’re average at best. Of course there was nothing else around so it was better than nothing.

Quaint little bakery with a couple of tables but made more for stocking up on high quality homemade things like, butter tarts of many varieties, breads,Danish, turnovers, pizza breads.
They have coffee, too.

Tarts were, surprisingly, disappointing. All the other items we picked up were delicious. I will certainly stop back again when I'm in the area.

We tried a variety of items and enjoyed most of them. The Chelsea buns were huge and delicious, we had two sandwiches which were also nice and fresh. An eccle pastry and a cookie were also good. The disappointment came with the 6 tarts we purchased which was a surprise given the shop's name. We tried lemon, raspberry coconut and butter tarts and the pastry used for all of them tasted like it had spent some serious time in a freezer. It just tasted off and stale and like it had picked up flavours from other items. The butter tart filling also tasted odd to me. The tarts barely contained any filling and it was quite runny, which would have been fine with me if it tasted good, but it did not. Sort of vinegary and not pleasant. I am a huge butter tart fan so this made me a bit sad. We would come back for the sandwiches and other baked goods, but would avoid the tarts in future.

Literally the best butter tart ever crafted by human hands. The Chelsea bun is so good it should be illegal.
