Cute little bakery with a huge variety of tarts, squares and breads. Immediately ate a fresh baked scone and tea biscuit. Delicious. Then took home a selection of tarts and breads. The only reason for 4 stars is the raisin butter tarts were flat (possibly day old) and I was disappointed that as I was paying, they brought out a new tray of raisin tarts that were clearly higher quality than what I was paying for and even though I commented on that I was not given the opportunity to replace mine.
Nevertheless, the blueberry tart and lemon tart were exceptional and the Chelsea bun was perfection (probably the best I’ve ever tasted). Worth the road trip to Little Britain.

I always wanted to stop and buy some butter tarts but never got around to it. My husband stopped on his way home from the cottage to bring me some butter tarts as a surprise. He bought two plain, two pecan and two apple tarts. Sadly we found the butter tarts underwhelming. The buttertart filling is quite sparse, has a really odd taste and is VERY runny, as in drinkable runny, which makes the already mediocre pastry soggy. I only took a couple of small bites of a plain buttertart before the filling spilled out everywhere. I tossed the tart in the garbage. The pecan butter tarts had absolutely zero pecans in or on them. The apple tarts on the other hand, were rather good in terms of filling but again the pastry leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely not worth stopping for.

Great small town bakery with amazing butter tarts and the best Chelsea bun ever.

learnt about this place for years, managed to stopped by to try their well known butter tart; and I’m so glad I did! This little treat is nothing short of divine. The crust is beautifully golden and perfectly flaky, holding up the rich, gooey filling without falling apart. The center is just the right balance of sweet and buttery, with a silky texture that melts in your mouth.

What really stood out was the depth of flavor—there's a hint of caramelized brown sugar and just the right touch of salt to round it out. Not overly sweet, but indulgent in all the right ways. It’s everything a classic butter tart should be, elevated with real craftsmanship.

If you’re a butter tart lover, this is a must try. And even if you’re not (yet), this one might just convert you. I’ll definitely be back for more!

What a selection! A lot of types of delicious tarts, pies and other treats. Staff are friendly and fun.

Needed a sweet treat and this was the place to fulfil that pleasure. Friendly staff and great service. Going there again soon.
