I ordered a Beyond Meat burger combo from Masonville Mall’s A&W and the employee was weirdly rude; she was very confused that I didn’t want cheese or sauce, was unpleasant for no reason, and seemed annoyed that she had to do her job. I dismissed this and paid for my food and waited for it to be done. I expected it to take a bit to cook so I was surprised when it was done so quickly. I sat down with my boyfriend and we started eating, I ate my fries first and then took my burger out of its package. I immediately could tell the patty looked odd; I bit into it and it was completely undercooked. So I put it down and took the bun off to look at it and one side was completely raw while the other was barely cooked. As I did not want to deal with the rude employee again, I asked my boyfriend if he could ask for a new burger, and when he came back he told me they would not give one. They apparently looked at the raw burger and claimed it was cooked through as they supposedly cook every Beyond burger for a set time; the employees must not follow this rule as I receive burgers cooked to different degrees every time I order one from any A&W. It also could have been that the grill was not at the right temperature, but I believe that the cook made a mistake and was denying it to not get in trouble. I believe I was rightfully deserving of either a new burger or a refund, but was denied both. If you buy them you know how expensive Beyond burgers are, they have been going up in price due to inflation so a single combo for a beyond burger is usually more than $14. As a vegetarian, there are not many fast food places with options for us other than side salads and fries, A&W is one of the only places with a meat alternative. I would appreciate if for that price, I could actually be given a properly cooked Beyond burger and receive kind service from the employees :)

The location is situated on the lower level of Masonville Mall, Entrance 2. It's quite an ordeal to go to to get your A&W meal. First, you have to find parking, then walk through a poorly maintained parking lot (it's winter and I must use a walker), there is only 1 accessibility button on the far left ♿ instead of on both sides of the wide door front at Entrance 2. Once customers get in, there is a small elevator 🛗 they can use to get to the food court on the lower level. Please note that this elevator is very slow.
The A&W restaurant itself is as one would expect in the food court of a mall.
The female staff member was very helpful by offering to put a "delivery" lid on my soft drink cup so it wouldn't spill while transporting my meal home. I appreciated that 4 ketchup packs were put in the bag without me having to ask for them. The beyond meat burgers were hot (temperature) and very delicious. The amount of fries that comes with the meal combo was generous.

Absolute trash. I purchased one of their value hamburgers (one can argue if $5 can be considered value) and the meat tasted so bad it made me gag a bit. I was so shocked by the poor quality I ended up going to another A&W the next day to see if it’s like this across the board. It is not, the second place was satisfactory, and quality was as expected. Come on Maisonville A&W, you can do better.
Tried to get my online deal but they refused. I was told that it was only online but they had shut down the online ordering 2 hours early with no notification. Customer protection laws say that any limitations on special offers have to be disclosed and they aren’t. Completely disappointed

I ordered kids pack & onion Ring . 1st stuff was so rude & I think she is resists . She was rude with Asian people , but she was nice with Canadian people .2nd she used her hair than no handwash without gloves she touch my kids food . It was totally disgusting . I threw out all of them food .I will not go ever never . I will tell my all friends & family don’t go this store .

I have never received such poor customer service in my life. The staff refused to correct their mistake in failing to add an extra charge-cheese slice to the burger and the only alternative provided was to receive the cold cheese slice on the side. I was ultimately given back $1 for the cheese along with my burger (still with no cheese). The staff refused to provide contact information for a supervisor and was also not wearing name tags. It is shocking that such poor customer service values are upheld by A&W and it shows how the quality of both goods and services is at a constant decline amongst all food retailers. Thank you A&W for this experience, I definitely will not be returning.
