“We were able to try Ironwood after winning a contest with Virgin Radio & we are so glad we did! We had never heard of this spot prior to winning but everything was amazing, from the ambiance, the friendly & attentive staff, food presentation and phenomenal dishes. Everything we had was AMAZING, we enjoyed the duck, beef Tatar, lamb dinner, oysters & two desserts and everything was spot on. We were also pleasantly surprised to have live music to enjoy during our dinner. We will definitely be returning to try more of their menu!”

“Went in for a family lunch in the early afternoon. The atmosphere was very nice. Not empty, but not too busy, just right. The apetizers and drinks were spot on. However, the experience with main dishes was not that nice. The stakes were average and the knives were not sharp to the point where we thought the stakes were not tender at all (eating leftovers at home with sharp knives was a better experience), chicken fajitas were also average, and we could not finish a chicken sandwich because of how bad it was and how it did not go with the sides. I have to say we expected a bit more for the money we spent there.”

“It was my first time visiting this restaurant. The scenery was very beautiful with the Asian umbrella design, Beautiful decorated with flowers, friendly staff, Everything was delicious and the food was very very affordable. A+ from me. Highly recommend the two guys (TIN & NINAD). They were very friendly with nice smiles, got our plates and kept asking us if we needed anything else. I was also very impressed with the manger who came around with a pleasant smile asking us if we enjoyed our meals. Very good experience. Definitely would recommend this to anyone.”

“We had a chance to experience One on York last night for the first time and it was amazing . The food was delicious and the service was impeccable! We had never been to Michael on the Thames but after seeing the menu and hearing positive feedback we decided it was a place to try and they knocked it out of the park . The atmosphere in the covered patio overlooking the Thames was the perfect location to enjoy a nice bottle of wine and some fantastic food . If your looking for a great fine dining experience you won’t be disappointed!A Must Try !”
“Blown away by this bakery! Both the knafeh and original chocolate chip cookies were amazing, not too sweet, and the knafeh especially was one of a kind. I was also very impressed with both their drip and cardamom latte and was not surprised to hear they source their beans from some of the best roasters in Toronto.The owner was very kind and sought out any feedback we had. Very excited to come back again, definitely worth the trip!”

“AMAZING… food is just astronomical, cant get better than this, The food came surprisingly fast. The inside is looks great, the smell of the food getting made wants you to come more often, it makes you feet wiggle and squirm while waiting.Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options. “We ordered the pistachio and double chocolate croissant and some ham and cheese and bacon and cheese savory breads. The croissants were very pretty looking and they made it look so appetizing, and we liked munching on the savory breads as well, but I wish we had asked them to heat it up before we took a bite.The croissant fillings were really good, but the chocolate one could have just been a little more chocolaty it was a bit sugary to be honest though.But other than that, it's a really cute cafe and you got a bunch of really nice jams and breads on the counter as well. I would surely recommend everyone to try this place for sure.”

David’s Bistro makes that cut.For the past year, I’ve avoided David’s because I am a picky eater and only enjoy certain ingredients. Right now, their dishes suit my taste. David, the owner, greeted me with warm welcome. We’ve known each other for a while.Like most fine dining establishments, David’s will hang up your coat. After sitting you down, they will bring you as much bread as you want. It IS divine. Their menu includes an impressive array of wine and liqueurs, and several appetizers and entrees each.I ordered two appetizers to start. A duck and pistachio terrine came first. I sliced the terrine and placed it on a grilled baguette along with cognac orange marmalade. The other appetizer was a French onion tart with Marsala braised onions and mornay sauce. The tart was made of puff pastry.My entree was a boar belly on squash risotto with sage, bacon, and Parmesan. The boar was juicy and still tender, giving the perfect texture.Dessert was a dark chocolate marquise. It had hints of orange zest, very much like a Terry’s Chocalate Orange.The inside is classy. On their sound system, they play instrumental jazz. This complements the art-covered walls. Incidentally, servers dress up in business attire.David’s Bistro is and has been a premium restaurant for years. Newspapers and industry experts believe this day and age is the end of fine dining. David’s website acknowledges this, but they don’t plan to stop. Help them prove critics wrong.”

My favourite dish was the duck dumplings - they were topped with fermented beans, which were absolutely amazingly tasty. We also got the doubles, which were unique and had a nice spice, KFC which went lovely with the pickle toppings, and the merguez sausage dish- in which every bite reminded me of summer. Their cocktails are lovely as well. I highly recommend for those who enjoy a tappas style meal - it felt similar to several course dining, and the dishes were spaced out very well.”

“Went out to dinner on a Sunday of a long weekend. There was only a couple ahead of me in line and I was served promptly. The burger was ready quite quickly and the toppings were put on to my specifications. I did notice that this restaurant was trying a strawless lid, but I ordered a milkshake so it didn't apply. I wish they would simply not add the lid for eat in customers. Team was prompt and friendly. Overall an excellent experience.Came back again. Tried the strawless lid and it worked really well. I had to take it off to get the last dribble out of the bottom.”

Notably the only coffee shop of two with an in-house donut bakery and of the two shops Dough EV has the largest selection by far and the freshest.The shop has an extremely knowledgeable Manager-Barista who manages and trains his staff to a high level guaranteeing exceptional Lattes, Capuchinos, Espressos and other traditional coffee preparations. The coffee never tastes burnt or overly dark.The service is very good and always friendly particularly when Juan the manager is working.The donuts are exceptional and always enjoyable to pair with a hot drink of choice.Visiting will not disappoint.Parking: Street parking.Kid-friendliness: Ideal for families with kids.”

They've been around for 51 years and Tony's honouring the tradition his father started and oversaw until last year. We picked three main items, pulled pork sandwich, chicken sandwich and the famous smash burger, plus the awesome smash potatoes! Steve was great with all my questions, regarding vegetarian, a gluten free guest, how the fryers worked, etc. I was worried about having a line up but guests really enjoyed the moment to chat with Steve, his son, and each other. And the line wasn’t long at all! They were so quick. The food was fantastic! We still have people talk about those smash fries! The restaurant is not big. They have a deck out front for when the nice weather arrives with a small ramp. It was our anniversary and we both love Indian food and was very happy to be there, but by the time we were leaving, though still very happy with food but very dissappointed with the way we were treated….Food was so good that we wanted to to go the kitchen and compliment the chef but we ended up leaving in a completely different mood!Hence, sadly we did not leave any tips for the server (by the way the server was also very nice and friendly but sadly we did not get ti see her much!!!)”

We had never been to Michael on the Thames but after seeing the menu and hearing positive feedback we decided it was a place to try and they knocked it out of the park . The atmosphere in the covered patio overlooking the Thames was the perfect location to enjoy a nice bottle of wine and some fantastic food . “Phenomenal plate of food. I had a mixed plate of jerk chicken and curry goat with the rice and peas and coleslaw. Every bite was exceptional, especially the jerk chicken. The curry goat is fall off the bone tender and the curry sauce adds so much flavour to the rice when you mix it all up. These are huge portions, I tried to eat it all, I really did, but the rest is lunch for tomorrow. I wanted to add a picture but that would mean I’d have to wait even longer before eating the food and that wasn’t an option.The owner is so friendly, had great recommendations, and took her time to make sure that my food was right. It’s a cute little shop, definitely the best smell in the city!Easy 5/5. I knew I would like this place and it didn’t disappoint. I’ll be back soon!”

I mentioned it was our first Chik-Fil-A visit and asked for suggestions, which we were pleasantly given. The order totalled under $30. We went to a table, sat down, I looked at the time, and two minutes later our food arrived, again, with a smile. So the food was excellent. The chicken in our sandwiches seemed fresh, we liked the sauces we picked out, the waffle fries were crisp and tasty, my milkshake was thick and creamy and tasty, and we left stuffed and satisfied. Throughout the visit I saw a host walking around, decluttering tables, checking on our satisfaction with the meal, and yes, I did overhear him say 'my pleasure' when someone thanked him for something. A restaurant-quality meal and restaurant-quality service, at a fast-food joint with fast food prices. No wonder in America they keep topping the customer satisfaction awards.”
