“We ordered the pistachio and double chocolate croissant and some ham and cheese and bacon and cheese savory breads. The croissants were very pretty looking and they made it look so appetizing, and we liked munching on the savory breads as well, but I wish we had asked them to heat it up before we took a bite. The croissant fillings were really good, but the chocolate one could have just been a little more chocolaty it was a bit sugary to be honest though. But other than that, it's a really cute cafe and you got a bunch of really nice jams and breads on the counter as well. I would surely recommend everyone to try this place for sure.“

CUP A CAKE Bakery • $$$
920 Commissioners Rd E, London

“Full transparency I am writing a review as part of an instagram giveaway but will be honest nonetheless. My ONLY downside is the price (i am a student, i feel if i were working full time the price wouldn’t be as bothersome for me as its a CHOICE to purchase or not!) but i do believe the items are cared for and made to perfection based on customers demands. The cashier herself was amazing and informative, i only have good things to say and remember the transaction well. She mentioned the credit card charge so no hidden fees were there. She was able to give me the prices on the spot and help me with my decision, i also did not feel obligated in anyway to purchase from this business after discussing prices i just loved the atmosphere and attitude from the store. As for my order, I came in around the fall of 2023 to pre order cake pops for an engagement party i was throwing. I ordered 12 and i think the price on debit came up to $60 BUT i was able to request a design to match the party theme and schedule it for a pick up the day to keep them fresh. Pickup was smooth and quick the cake pops looked amazing very clean and professional looking. The taste was also rich and not extremely sweet (we ordered chocolate) im not a fan of burning sweet desserts. The chocolate cake with the white chocolate coating was amazing and a hit at the party! I do wish there was a sort of option to have the cake pops put into a stand of some sorts, luckily im creative and came up with something quick for cheap (again i am a student so the budget wasn’t large and i was not interested in buying a cake pop stand to keep permanently)Overall i have no reason not to come back besides budgeting, in fact i constantly think of ordering from this store front or treating myself when the right time comes haha, the other menu items looked amazing and i can tell lots of work is put into them! One more note, i did see a cake made by this business a few days ago for a birthday party. It was a beautiful heart shaped cake, black frosting was perfect too. Truly the baker is a perfectionist!IG: @jessaamine“

“The cappuccino might be the best one I drank since I moved to Canada. Food is delicious, service is just as good. I love that they're pet friendly. There's not a lot of available places to sit though. It's the only thing I'd change, as well as the salty price (but we know it's a local business and we'd rather pay high prices at a local store than a chain restaurant/bakery).“

“I can’t get over how delicious everything I’ve had from here is! I know logistically that whole grains and fermentation mean more flavour but WOW. The bread is hearty and flavourful and the pastries are incredible. The granny-style pizza slices have ruined non-sourdough pizza for me but I’m not mad in the slightest. I got a corner piece this week and felt like I won the lottery. Seriously, this place is well worth a visit whether you’re seeking more nutritious/easily digestible options or if you just appreciate good food. The fact that they source their ingredients locally and responsibly is icing on the cake.“

“Despite living in London for the past few years, I only recently tried out this place! This beautiful cafe is very conveniently located and is always busy. During peak times, it may be difficult to find a seat but they do open up fairly quickly. The service here is amazing, they’re super attentive and nice which is a big plus.In terms of their food, their cruffins are TO DIE FOR - I absolutely love them to death. They rotate their flavours and every single one I’ve had has been phenomenal. Admittedly, difficult to eat which the sugar coating on the croissant mixed with the custard inside but still so so good that it’s worth the mess. I do wish it was served warmed which would take it to the next level! The sandwiches are surprisingly good as well. My favourite is the ham and Swiss. It is very filling and I love how much they pack into the sandwich (especially how much Dijon they put in it hehe). In terms of the coffee, it was decent. I was expecting more bold flavours to come out and taste the richness but unfortunately I could not. Maybe I had too high of expectations for the coffee after tasting the pastries and food but regardless, it was still decent coffee.Overall though, this place is an amazing place to sit down, eat, read, study, and catch up with friends! I definitely will be coming back and trying more of their items :)“

“We were guests at a wedding catered by this AWESOME company. This was a few years ago, before you could generally put special dietary requests on an RSVP. My partner, a vegan, just loaded our bag with snacks, expecting that he would not be able to eat any part of the wedding meal (which was totally fine). When Jay found out he was vegan, Jay made him a SPECTACULAR meal on the site (arguably the best meal at the table), and to his delight, later in the evening Jay tracked him down to present him with his very own vegan dessert. Jay went above and beyond with enthusiasm and made it an evening to remember! 10/10 food and service!“
