“With over 70 years of experience in the Covent Garden Market, I have to admit that I'm a little shocked and dismayed to be the first to review them. Perhaps its simply because they are a bit hidden away in the back corner, but a great and reasonably priced lunch option to be sure. They actually have a mini-grocery store section with quality delicatessens from across Europe and likely stock things that would be hard to impossible to get anywhere else. Today I had a shnitzel sandwich, which was REALLY good but they have a ton of other sandwich options as well as homemade soups, sausages, and some of the best perogies I've ever had. You're likely looking at about $7-$10 including drink and would be hard pressed to get more bites for your buck anywhere. Really great stuff!“
“This is our go to place in London for "ponchiki" or custard, vanilla filled donut pastries . They get a fresh delivery Thursday to Saturday and the donuts (no holes) are soft, puffy, bites of deliciousness. They also carry poppy seed rolls, which are chock full of poppyseed paste, so good! And their Napoleon cake! Layers of puff pastry in between a custard cream. Almost as good as my mother in-laws. Of course, they also have a well stocked deli counter and lots of european marinated veggies, sauces, and a nice variety of honey. But I come here for the sweets.“
“Thomas and his staff are all wonderful, amazing people, they treat you so well! The food is fresh, quick and perfect for a quick lunch. the sandwiches, salads and soups are all great and you can't go wrong with whatever you pick. Also try the mocha biscotti its a 10/10!!!“
“It's quite rare for me to rate something so very high. Affordable and delicious. Although it holds a small place in the market, it works to the advantage of encouraging other patrons to make small talk.This is definitely a place you should try and return to.“
