Excellent flat white — possibly the best service I’ve had in London. Genuinely warm smiles and such a welcoming atmosphere. The space was spotless with plenty of seating. Highly recommend!

Five stars aren’t enough for this gem!
Asmara Coffee House is hands down one of the coziest, most welcoming spots I’ve ever been to. From the moment you walk in, the smell of freshly roasted coffee wraps around you like a hug. The quality of the coffee is unmatched smooth, rich, and clearly roasted with care.

But what truly sets Asmara apart is the people. They are absolutely wonderful so kind, genuine, and always ready with a warm smile. They make you feel like you’re not just a customer, but part of the community. It’s rare to find that kind of heart in a café.

The space is peaceful and tastefully decorated perfect for slowing down, enjoying great conversation, or just being present with your cup.

If you’re in London and haven’t been yet, go. You’ll leave with a great cup of coffee and an even warmer heart.

Coffee was very weak. Lady who took my order was not helpful when asking her questions about certain drinks and just wanted me to place my order.

It wasn't bad, but the drink was cold and it didn't taste like anything.

Warm, Welcoming Café with Excellent Coffee – Just Not Turkish

After a long drive into London, we were hoping to start our morning with a traditional Turkish coffee—not out of heritage, but simply preference, much like one might favor a cappuccino regardless of nationality. A quick Google search led us to this café, which appeared to offer it. Unfortunately, Turkish coffee wasn’t available, and while that was a letdown, it wasn’t the café’s fault.

What the café did offer, however, was impressive. The staff were attentive and genuinely helpful, going out of their way to suggest alternatives and accommodate dietary needs—including offering several options for the lactose intolerant, which was a much-appreciated bonus.

We went with cappuccinos made from Rwandan beans, and while I’ve never seen cappuccinos served in such large cups before, they were surprisingly delicious—smooth, rich, and well-crafted. We also tried a lemon poppyseed cake and an almond croissant, both fresh and flavorful.

The café had a vibrant, lively energy while still feeling comfortable and inviting. It may not have been one of the most memorable cafés we’ve visited, but it certainly left a positive impression. If I were in the area again, I’d be more than happy to stop by for another cup.

I do apologize for not capturing better photos—we were in a bit of a rush and I just snapped a quick one. Hopefully, the words make up for what the pictures didn’t capture.

Simply the best. Started going to Asmara in their original location, which was a hidden gem. The new location is very cozy and spacious. Great for meetings or just relaxing over a cup of coffee. The owner is extremely friendly and always full of smiles. The coffee is amazing as well.

Don’t sleep on Asmara!! Everything is 10/10. Every time i come here I am welcomed nicely, it is very clean and the atmosphere is perfect for reading or working. I love their rich brownie and the iced mocha latte.

I’ve been several times on the basis of the reviews. For example, one person writes that Asmara offers the best espresso shot in the world. I haven’t been everywhere in the world, but I’m sure that’s not true. The atmosphere of Asmara is nice, the people are friendly, but there’s nothing special about the pastries or the coffee. I wish there were.
