“I don’t usually write reviews… but this one is legally required.

We went to Jack Astor’s and got served by Pat, and I can confidently say this was not a meal—it was a life-altering experience.

From the moment we sat down, Pat appeared like some kind of hospitality wizard. Waters filled before we even knew we were thirsty. Recommendations? Flawless. Timing? Surgical. Vibes? Immaculate. I’m pretty sure Pat could sense what we wanted to order before we did.

At one point I dropped a fry and I swear Pat was already there mid-air to save it. NASA should honestly be studying the reaction time.

The food was great—but let’s be clear: Pat was the main course.

If you go to Jack Astor’s and don’t get Pat as your server, respectfully, just leave and come back another day. It’s not worth settling for a lesser experience.

Pat didn’t just serve us dinner. Pat served excellence, charisma, and what I can only describe as a spiritual awakening.

10/10. 6 stars. Would request Pat at my wedding, my kid’s birthday, and possibly as a life coach.

“We went to Jack Astor's Richmond St last night for a girls get together/Christmas dinner. The restaurant was decorated to the max for Christmas. It made our get together that much more fun. The staff was awesome and my meal (chicken fried chicken from the specials menu) was outstanding. We ended the night on the patio by a firepit and one of the staff generously came out to take our picture. It was just a perfect night. Thanks so much.“

“The perfect atmosphere for a team social. Our waitress, Lexi, was extremely attentive and friendly. I got the chicken tacos (3) with a caesar salad, which came out to just over $30 including tax and tip. The portion sizes were a bit small for the price, but delicious nonetheless.“

“A4 seniors from out of town found after a pricy restaurant was too crowded. Service was prompt and pleasant , food including hard to find club sandwiches was good with good portion sizes. Pad Thai, fish and chip was a great lunch, with no rush . All of us. ( Burlington to Calgary and London ) will recommend.“

“Closing hours may vary but for an after work establishment, full kudos from this patron. Reminders of the good ol' days, probably recognize a face or two. You might the strange eyeballs when you first walk in but probably greeted by name the next time. Highly recommended. Looking forward to Superbowl on the 4th.“

“I was a bit skeptical at first but today I ordered 2pc fish n chips to have delivered to me at home. The taste was immaculate, the homemade tartar sauce was well seasoned,not to mention the portion size! I could barely even finish half of it by myself and I’m no small eater. Great meal for only $20, this is now my go to place for some worthwhile fish n chips.“

“Best lounge in London. The service at the bar was quick. I am always helped right away at the bar as opposed to waiting for 20 minutes for the bartender to notice at other places. This place has a great ambiance.

“I go here all the time with my martial arts group and usually around 9:00 for the half price apps every Monday and Wednesday. If I don't go, I know the guy's religiously go. They love the wings, wings, wings, wings, wings. Sometimes they screw up an order. But I mean hey when it gets busy it gets busy so I can understand when the kitchen skips a step. But by far I will keep going back here as long as they keep the quality that they got. I really can't complain and the waitress is are super sweet. Really good at juggling large groups and it's got enough room that even when it is busy there's still a dining area where you can get a little bit quiet, especially when the game's going on“

If excellence had a name, it would be Natalia. From the moment we walked into Chuck’s Restaurant, she turned an ordinary meal into an unforgettable experience. Natalia greeted us with a smile so genuine it could brighten a rainy day, and her energy lit up the whole place.

She knew the menu inside and out — giving the perfect recommendations like she wrote it herself. Every order came out exactly as we wanted (if not better), and she checked on us just enough to make sure we were happy without ever hovering. That balance takes talent.

You can tell Natalia truly cares about her guests. She’s fast, friendly, funny, and professional all at once — the kind of person who makes you feel like you’re her favorite customer even though she treats everyone that way.

If Chuck’s gave out gold stars for service, Natalia would need her own wall. She’s the reason people keep coming back, and I honestly think she deserves a raise, a trophy, and her own holiday.

In short: Natalia isn’t just a waiter — she’s the heart of Chuck’s.“

“Came here on a whim, it was close to our hotel. Ended up coming back a second day. Great fish on Friday deal and pints deal. And the service was great 5/5🤙 next time I'm in London I'm coming back... Oh.. and the fries .. 🤯“
