“ur hockey team used The Coop for our team Christmas party. Nicole was very helpful in deciding on our menu. She sent along the catering menu and we tailored a package that would suit the diverse group we had. We ordered beef, chicken, chicken wings, chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, biscuits and caesar salad. We picked up the meal and delivered to our location and everything was piping hot!! Only regret was that I didn't order one of the cakes/desserts that smack you in the tastebuds when you enter The Coop. Would 10/10 recommend The Coop for any type of larger group food needs. Wholesome, homemade, minimally processed food!!“

“Simply Outstanding!
Travelling south on Hwy 401, and fed with terrible ONroute food, the prices and cleanliness of the stations we decided to see if there was a place we could find health food for good value close to Hwy 401.
The staff were extremely well mannered, courteous, helpful, energetic and helped answer all our questions about flavours and a food allergy my daughter has. To say we were impressed is an understatement! I got the Santa Fe Chicken Bowl. The portions were huge, ingredients were super fresh and the flavours were amazing. Hands down the best salad bowl I've ever purchased. I am ever so glad we found The Chopped Leaf. We will definitely stop again when travelling east or west on the 401.

Dietary restrictions: My daughter has dietary conditions, she is celiac. We discussed this with the server who took her order, and she was able to explain in detail the options available. It's so nice when you go to a restaurant and the staff are educated and so very supportive of dietary restrictions, that allow you to order with full confidence.“

BBQ Pork (one pound, $11)
This was the worst of the three but still decent. It had a tougher, chewier texture and a little less flavour. In terms of how it tasted, it was very similar to beef jerky. Rating: 7.6/10.

Roast Pork (one pound, $13)
This was terrific. The owner told me to pour a dark sauce over it, which was sweet like hoisin sauce. Later, she exclaimed that she takes pride in the skin being super crispy. I responded with, “It is! And the meat melts in your mouth.” And there were no bones, making for a great snack to eat anywhere. Rating: 8.8/10.

BBQ Duck (half, $19.99)
I enjoyed this almost as much as the roast pork. The difference: bones. This duck had bones practically in every piece. However, the flavour was just as good. I would describe it as savoury with somewhat crispy skin. I poured sweet plum sauce onto it, which worked well. Rating: 8.4/10.

Overall Experience
This is an excellent place to get authentic Chinese BBQ. The owner is expertly skilled at what she does and even explained to me some of the tricks of her trade.“
