Today, I had lupper (between lunch and supper) at Real Canadian Superstore Oxford Street - Gammage. I tried their Bento Sushi.Their selection was quite small compared to a sushi bar/restaurant, but the quality was there.I bought three trays of sushi. All three came with soya sauce packets and wasabi. The sushi stand provides free wooden chopsticks. In need of a place to eat, I took the elevator to the second floor and found a room with chairs and tables. This was most likely the break room for employees, but customers can use it, too.I dove into a crunch family pack first. Inside were five rolls of five pieces (25 in total). Three of the rolls were topped with spicy mayo and crunch made of tempura batter. It costed $18.Next were spicy California rolls. This had two rolls of five pieces. Each piece was the exact same with spicy mayo. I paid $7.50 for this tray. After finishing the second tray, I was full. I ended up taking the third tray home. Hours later, I resumed eating. The third tray was a nigiri combo. Nigiri is a fresh slice of raw fish, atop a ball of sushi rice. The tray had six pieces. Four were salmon, two were shrimp, and two were tuna. It was $12.These trays are perfect for a quick lunch. You can easily bring them to school/work. They are also convenient to just pick up and eat in your car or bring home. Totally recommend if you want a quick sushi fix or want some basic rolls.
