Best authentic Chinese food ive ever tried in canada. Nothing compares!! Even Torontos Chinatown cant beat this!! Highly recommend Guo Bao Rou it is so good as well as some of their soups they are all so good! I moved across the country and am still missing this place lol!
First time trying this place for dinner with my brother last night. We use to eat at this restaurant all the time growing up with our Nanny, family & friends. The restaurant is formally known as Gus’s family restaurant and the decor inside is still pretty much the same so it was a comforting feeling. The food was excellent that we tried, lots of flavour and great temperatures. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family and look forward to trying more dishes.
Good food but portion is small
Everything was tasty except the fried rice, and in addition the protein(chicken and beef) was extremely small and food came a little cold.
Hit and miss on our first time here. The dry friend green beans were excellent, the pork moo shu with garlic scapes was truly delicious (even though it was a bit oily) and the best part of the seafood fried rice was the rice itself, which was perfect (the prawns were large but entirely flavour-free and the peas were insufficiently cooked). We asked for an off-menu item, wor wonton soup, which the kitchen interpreted as a murky, insipid pork-based broth with a few wontons and three leaves of yellowish cabbage. The green tea was commercially bagged and weak, even after asking for a second bag. The server's limited English was not a problem but his communication skills were lacking. However, the staff is friendly. It's an honest family restaurant that serves authentic, unamericanized Chinese dishes with good portions at reasonable prices. Overall, it was not a bad experience and we will be back to try other menu items but this was not the replacement Chinese restaurant this Vancouverite has been pining for. The search continues.
Really tasty food here ,fast service ,traditional Chinese food, no chicken balls here!
low quality Unfresh
My friends didn’t like how greasy the food was, and we won’t be back
Very tasty and affordable
I strongly suggest avoiding this place.
We were in the area very hungry and decided to try this place out. The place is nice and clean and the food is delicious! Their menu is varied and there are tons of options. We tried the sweet and sour pork, kung pao chicken and vegetable noodles. Everything was delicious! The KP chicken was so flavourful as well as the noodles. Everything was made to order. I recommend this place 100%! The portions are very large, it’s more of a menu to share family style. I wish they had half portions of everything so we could try more dishes but with what we ordered we walked away stuffed!

Very good Chinese food in London! It’s authentic and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the fried dough covered pork shown in the photos! The portions are just right.
Very good
Chicken fried rice was bland and was basically just white rice with battered chicken (more batter than chicken)
Not worth for the price
The ambience inside is good and so is the quantity but they need to improve in taste/seasoning/flavouring.

This is one of a few authentic northern Chinese restaurants in London area. If you like to try what the real Chinese dishes taste like, this is one of the places you should not miss.
