Boxcar Donuts - Masonville Shop

Incredibly nice staff , inviting atmosphere and delicious doughnuts. Doughnuts are soft and airy. Most of them are quite large so it's good to share as well. Had a cappuccino there as well which went really well with the apple fritter doughnut.

I remember first having their donuts at common wealth on Richmond street downtown. I thought their donuts were the best donuts I ever had. However the last few times both at the store in Masonville and at sunfest the donuts have just been meh. I don’t know what changed. They’re expensive so I expect something a bit better than Tim Hortons but would now prefer a Tim’s donut.

The customer service both in the store and at sunfest also wasn’t the best. It feels franchised now and like they are hiring the cheapest help to run things. It no longer feels like a family business. I will probably pass next time and go somewhere else unfortunately.

This place continues to go downhill.

The donuts were once the best in London, now they lack flavour and are extremely greasy/oily. You don’t get what you pay for any longer.

Staff have been less than friendly/welcoming and act like you’re inconveniencing them.

Time to find a new donut spot.

I must say these specialty donuts are some of the best I have ever had. From the apple fritters they are like no other I have ever had . They are full of apples and cinnamon . The honey glazed donuts to the chocolate donut to the their take on a vanilla dip donut . They are so worth the price quality and quantity is amazing . Can't wait to come in and try the other amazingness. Was gifted this but I am a BXCR girl for life .

Enjoy taking my 93 yr old dad to this spot. Wheelchair accessible and kind staff. Great cake like donuts !

Every single donut I tried was delicious, actually beyond delicious, but I especially liked the pecan donuts & the chocolate sticks (forget what they are called exactly) but who am I Kidding, they were all amazing.

When i get to London again I will be going back & getting more. They are anywhere from $3 - $5 but so worth it

Absolutely Delicious! I had an apple fritter and a Boxcar Cream donut, both obviously freshly made from scratch. The Apple fritter was enormous, light and so fresh and FULL of flavour. The Boxcar Cream was also huge, delicious and the cream was plentiful and delectable. These donuts are definitely worth a drive and worth a few extra dollars, lots of value in a made from scratch super sized treat. They open at 9am (double check) and I would go early, as there were people waiting for them to open lol. Sorry no photos, they didn’t last long enough.😁

Came across this shop while making a visit to another shop in this plaza. It is tucked out of the way. The place is lovely, modern and clean, serving old fashioned donuts. A large variety of beautifully hand decorated donuts. We thought they were delicious and were happy to have stumbled upon this small bake shop. I wish I had bought more!

Ordered boxercar donuts for my daughter a first year student at Western University. As we do not live in ON, I wasn’t familiar with the area or bakeries, and went searching online for options, Boxcar from its website seemed to fit the bill. I called to get further info, custom the order and guarantee they could deliver. Staff was great, answered my questions and delivered as planned to the university dorm. My daughter & friends said donuts were delicious.

I consider myself to be a donut expert. These were gourmet prices, but mass market quality. On par with what I could get at a grocery store or chain coffee shop. I wouldn't go back.

Boxcar is my ultimate favourite place for
donuts. Some of the most unique flavours in the world. Every donut I’ve ever had from this place has been amazing. They sell out quickly so the earlier you go the better. The coffee is great too.

We went in during the floor renovation so didnt sit in. Friendly and professional staff, she suggested all the flavors and information us about the promotion. The london fog donut was soft , smooth and creamy but if the fragrance of earl grey tea is stronger would be nice, this donut is not too sweet which is nice. Affogato is kind of sweet, this too, the taste of coffee is less which made less punching smell. The strawberry matcha latte, for me is okie, a little bland.

Went for the first time, picked strawberry fritter and lemon merg. They both tasted the same which was underwhelming. I thought there would be a stronger strawberry flavour and distinct lemon flavour but no.
Yes their donuts are super fresh and fried donut taste with icing.....but just no truly amazing special flavour. Please go try as they are fried tasty treats ...but I was expecting more specialty flavour.
Was just a bit disappointed.
