Purchased and ate a pork pie. Super disappointed to eat a wire from a cooking brush. Been having issues ever since..

I got me a few pastries and I liked some and didn’t like some. They were just okay overall but perhaps just not my taste.

Friendly lady! They have a haggis pie, canned haggis, meat pies, a bunch of great food products from the UK, I will add this to a place to stop at when I go to

Love the place! No point in saying It's expensive'. What isn't nowadays if you compare everything to yesterday! Of course imported items cost more than in U.K. because now it is here, not over there. (Checked air mail lately as one example of costs, plus rent, staff, insurance and other overheads). Their meat pies and sausage rolls always on my list. Meat pies actually full of meat, not as available in some other places with tiny bits of meat plus 'fill', mostly chunks of potato, carrots and so on. There are meaty! Cornish pasties a choice too. Choose frozen or not frozen. Other favorites are the bottles onions and also beetroots, really tasty. Also check the jams and marmalade, helps to make a great start to the day. We'll be back.

Their items and food are great . Good service also , just disappointed with their hours of operation, especially on a Saturday they only open till 5pm. In my opinion , I think

I visited for the first time yesterday and bought a variety of pies, black pudding and potato scones - for dinner last night and breakfast this morning. The pies were the best I've tasted in Canada. The black pudding and potato scones were very good too. I'm excited to have stumbled upon this shop and will definitely be back, very soon. Highly recommended.

Empire cookies were OK but not the best we have had
picked up package of Ginger puddings on the sale shelf
when we got home checked the expiry date it was 2 weeks ago Me bad for not looking while in the store
but they should have not even been on the shelf

Probably will not go back there are shops with nicer food

WARNING for others check the expiry dates BEFORE you buy

Been going every two weeks to get the cheese and onion pasty and they were great at the beginning . Bought 4 pasties yesterday and they tasted like absolute garbage . Tasteless with hardly any filling . The crust tasted so dry and not edible . Such a shame may be u guys need to go to Greggs bakery in England and learn how to properly make them . Absolutely disgusting or if you don't want to go to England go see my mother in law she will teach you guys how to do a proper pasty .

I popped in to BPB today to pick up some treats for my Aunt in law who has dementia. I had to check the best before and expiry dates on the grocery products VERY carefully. So many items are expired or LONG past their best before dates. It seems like the owner is buying expired products at liquidation prices in the UK and then selling them at full import pricing. Shame!!!Another thing to note is the dried out bakery items. I know from a very reliable source that they sit in the cases for 7 days before being tossed. You heard that right, you could be paying FULL PRICE for pies, pasties and rolls that are SEVEN DAYS OLD and would have otherwise been thrown in the bin at the end of the day. Proceed with extreme caution ? and don’t even get me started on the biscuits and tarts…so stale!!!The only positive things I can say about BPB is the two young women who served me today were so friendly, helpful and polite. I give them both ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Also the store is very clean and organized
