The new menu features are amazing, I tried the baba ghanouj for an apprtizer and chicken cordon bleu for main, the presentation was wonderful and the chicken was great. Without a doubt the Budapest is the best restaurant in London!

My guest is from Hungary. We both loved the atmosphere, it is like being in Budapest. The food is excellent quality and authentic without question. This is not the Canadian fare some are used to. It's exactly how Hungarian food should taste. Exception sangria, chicken paprikash, goulash, sausage, cabbage and schnitzel, get chicken schnitzel. Do not miss out on nokedli (noodles). This incredible restaurant should be a protected Hungarian landmark in our opinion.Vegetarian options: You can get meatless versions. Nokedli, hungarian slaw, salad, cabbage rolls.Kid-friendliness: Kids can eat this healthy food.

The most relaxing and family feeling atmosphere we’ve had in ages. The food (Hungarian platter) was absolutely decadent. The server Quinton, was so friendly and kind. Loved the musicians, they had my girlfriend in tears it was so beautiful. Thank you! 10 stars from us’

Went here a week ago for my birthday. They did not disappoint. As a Hungarian who always has to try local Hungarian restaurants, this is probably the only one that had it all right. I'm convinced someone's grandmother was back there cooking, because everything was cooked to perfection. If you want authentic Hungarian food, this is the place. The staff was great and the portions were massive. Will always recommend this to anyone coming into the city. They even sang me happy birthday. ?

One of Canada’s hidden gems. I have been dining at Budapest for over 35 years, and I am HAPPY to say NOTHING HAS CHANGED! It was perfect and still is. I do miss Marika, and the elusive Steve, and her absence is palatable, but her spirit and energy are in the food and ambiance. I moved from London 30 years ago, but return often, and when I can, I enjoy a wonderful dinner at the Bucharest Restaurant. So happy they are still around. Service, ambiance and food…excellent.

Great European atmosphere in a renovated house, just east of downtown, close to main hotels (Delta & DoubleTree). Food was excellent -- our table ordered a bit of everything, from schnitzel to goulash to stroganoff, everything was perfect. The service (from Alex) was very attentive, not rushed, but still mindful of our show time. The fixed price dinners, with soup/salad, main & dessert were a good value, and the crepes for dessert were gone in an instant! The only disappointment to the whole evening was that they were out of stock on the Hungarian wines that are on their menu. We opted for their house wine, a CabSauv from Pelee Island that was adequate (and very reasonably priced), but when dining at a Hungarian restaurant, I would have preferred a wine to match the cuisine. Overall, this was an excellent experience and I will make a point of returning next time I'm in London.

This place blew my mind! The best service of any London restaurant I have been to. It’s a beautiful mixture of elegant dining and a sweet family touch. I will be sure to bring more of my inner circle to dine here, as it is the perfect setting for anything from important family dinners to a romantic anniversary date. Eddie, my server, made sure that all aspects of my experience were above and beyond my expectations.

This was our first visit to your beautiful restaurant., and we couldn't have been more impressed! We were welcomed into your establishment with a friendly welcome and were able to choose or seat. Our server Alex was attentive, and friendly and service was great! We loved the ambience, the music playing and the overall feel in the place. The bathroom is in the basement but it doesn't feel like it because the beautiful carpet extends down there! The food was delicious!! Each dish was warm and the plating was superb! We loved everything about this restaurant!!! Please go and experience it for yourselves!! We parked on the street in front of the restaurant. It's free after 6pm.

Service was polite, attentive, and patient with our group. The restaurant was quiet with soft finishes to help control sound. I ate here on a friend's recommendation and the food was cooked very well, just not the type of food I typically enjoy, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. It was nice to experience this authentic cuisine, and others in my group were very happy with their meal.

Always a wonderful meal. Old school decor and super tasty food. Like everywhere, prices have shot up recently, but still reasonable value.

Went to dinner with two business colleagues from the UK. They were very impressed. Good and portions we're wonderful and it was nice to speak to them about the longevity of the restaurant.
