We had Sunday lunch and the food was excellent but the stand out was the young waiter who served us, he was excellent, really friendly with a huge smile. A real asset to the business, well done.

The pub itself is welcoming and a lively fire greeted us but what a let down the staff are. Uninterested, rarely a smile, slow and clearly not trained or monitored in terms of their customer service. Food was average but I would never return as service was so poor.

Was here with my partner for my birthday meal 12/12. Staff very helpful young lad he served us had been there 4 years was very helpful . The meal although nice we had calf’s liver and lamb was not value for money , positions very small and extras veg etc very expensive. We had desert chocolate bomb which was delicious the cheeseboard was adequate though the grapes were well passed their best and personally think butter should be served with this course though I didn’t ask for some. decor sad and there looked like unhoovered mess on the floor. Little things but they add up. However service excellent time of service excellent food good but not brilliant and poor value for money in struggling times.

Excellent meal at The Windmill, Windlesham with family. Food presentation and quality top class, staff were all very friendly, helpful and courteous. We all thoroughly enjoyed our lunches.

I visited with a friend for lunch, this was my first visit to The Windmill. I ordered from the set menu, 2 courses. My starter was mushrooms which were delicious, so delicious that I I could have had more. My main course was the chicken burger with fries which was tasty. My friend ordered prawns as a starter and the fish and chips as the main course. She commented that her food was good. I thought the 2 course set menu was a good price, I think it was £18.50. The staff were friendly and efficient. I thought the pub decor was lovely and very welcoming. Most of the tables were full so there was a good atmosphere. My only negative was at times I felt chilly, but I wondered if the main door of the pub had been left open as I knew the radiator near me was working. I would highly recommend and I know I will return

We cane hear for a Sunday lunch with friends. The service was good and efficient but sadly the food was really poor. 3 of our party had the trio roast and one the duo beef roast. The beef was ok on both options but the on the trios the chicken was dry, the pork was two thirds blubber and the pigs in blankets were not cooked with raw stuffing. It was all Luke warm and lacking in gravy. The veg was under cooked and hard to cut and the potatoes tasted like they were reheated from the day before. The crackling was stale if that’s possible. The yorkshires however were really nice. We still had a lovely time but the food was not the reason why. I would not recommend eating these dishes here and I won’t be back.

Do not book your Christmas dinner here! We made this mistake last year and it was AWFUL! We had to try and find humour in the situation so our entire Christmas Day wasn’t ruined but it was truly terrible. The bar was a mess and full of dirty glasses when we arrived, we stood there for ages and asked two staff members where our table was, only to be put on a dirty table with no crackers. The amuse bouche must have run out so they brought us falafel, starters were cold, meats were dry and over cooked, the only decent thing were puddings but by then.. we had had enough. We had to go to the bar as we had no table service- a poor man from the kitchen was trying to help out, the head waiter was injured and clearly unwell. There was also no Prosecco or chapel down as advertised. The decor was also poor- dead plant in the bathroom, stains all over the walls and cobwebs in the windows, as though they did not have notice that Christmas day would be happening. Unless there has been serious changes and work done to the building, this place is disgusting for charging the same prices on the Christmas menu again this year.
