I think this is a great spot for many reasons. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by a very gracious and pleasant bartender. They have Heineken on tap, and it definitely has that cozy, local vibe where everyone seems to know each other.

The drinks are fantastic — even the cocktails are impressive. Most importantly, the prices are phenomenal, especially compared to Toronto. This is the kind of place you want to stop by after work or in the evening to enjoy some food and beverages.

I was genuinely impressed by the customer service, pricing, and both the quality and quantity of what they offer. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this spot to other locals. It’s a true neighborhood gem supporting your local community.

I've found out about this place on a business meeting. I've been coming back with my family ever since.

The owners really care about their business. The food is great, atmosphere is amazing, and the owners are very friendly. Price is also reasonable.

I highly recommend this for a quick beer or a lunch/dinner.

Kid-friendliness: Yes. Very kid friendly.

From the time I walked in, it was a bad experience. We were told we could sit anywhere, and when we chose a booth, the server (with blond hair) snapped and said “No, sit at this table,” with no explanation. She was very rude the entire time my family and I were there. As my mom was walking out of the restaurant (to grab something from the car), the server began asking if we were ready to order. However, my mom was already halfway out the door, and the server then rolled her eyes and made a face. We decided to stay, figuring she may have just been stressed. When my mom asked how much more it would’ve been for a two piece fish and chips, the server said they didn’t have that as an option, rather than offering a price for an extra piece / or another option.
The fries and fish were overcooked, whereas the bacon on the club sandwich was very undercooked and soggy.
Overall a very bad experience. It was obvious why the place was so empty on a Friday night.

The service was very slow, as one of the employees was over an hour late to their shift, leaving a newer employee to do the majority of work. Our food was served to us late, so it was cold. The fries were terrible, very tasteless, greasy, rubbery, with absolutely no crunch. I got the beef tacos, which would have been better hot, but were still good. For an appetizer, we got the garlic cheese bread. This was very good and served hot, I'd recommend it as a light starter. My sister's wrap was also disappointing. All of the meat was at the very bottom and there was too much sauce. She got the nachos and salsa on the side, which was very spicy. There was no warning of this on the menu anywhere, but they were covered in spicy dust and the salsa was spicy. They forgot the sauce on my mother's sandwich. She also asked for no onions, but they put onions on anyways. It was not busy, and we waited a very long time for our food, there is no reason why it couldn't have been better.

Went to Carey's for burger night (Thursday) and ordered the $13 burger special. Also got the thai chicken bite app. App came out really quick, and wasn't bad. Burger followed, ordered it with mayo. The burger was average, not terrible but nothing to brag about. They serve it on a Wonder-bread bun. The nostalgia from backyard bbq's was real. Overall ok experience untill the bill came. They charged $1 extra for MAYO (see pictures in review). They have a section on the menu under the burgers which indicates what "extras" cost more. MAYO is not on that list. Also the appetizers are advertised online for half price but their menu has sharpie over the old price and now appetizers are $8 after 8pm. Spinach dip (commonly an appetizer at EVERY other establishment in London) does not qualify as an appetizer but is called a sharable at Carey's. When we asked about the difference in price from the $14 burger we were charged to the advertised $13 burger we were informed about the mayo upcharge. Would not recommend Carey's unless you want a surprise when you get the bill. #itsnotaboutthedollar

Went to Careys for burger night (Thursday) they advertise $13 burgers but not if you get mayo, they charge a $1 extra. its not listed as their upcharge items. Also appetizers advertised as half price after 8pm online but they have a sharpie on the menu crossing it out, now $8 apps after 8 (also spinach dip isn't an app at Careys??? it is every other restaurant in town). First and last visit to Careys.
