Way to long of a wait at 6:30pm on a Saturday, 45mins just to be asked for our orders. Heard another table who was waiting awhile for their food and the only got some parts of their order.

I’ve ordered a dinner special for takeout here recently and made the mistake of looking at their Dine-In menu rather than the Takeout menu for a pickup order, so I was slightly surprised when I had not received my Wonton soup that was stated on their menu. Understandingly enough they only provide the free soup when dining in, so that was my mistake ?.

Fried rice tasted burned even though it was not ... it "repeated" all night ... 24+ hours of rancid burps is NOT a good thing.

Ended up here completely by chance after our favorite restaurant closed down on Wonderland. Unfortunately, it is a Canadianized version of Chinese being served, so while the food is ok, there are limited authentic dishes with almost no Chinese vegetables available. The food was ok. One tofu dish, one beef with black bean sauce and a curry chicken noodle. Nothing spectacular, just all average. Due to the limited menu and not truly authentic Cantonese food, we won't return. However, for a simple palate and a quick takeout, it fits the bill for many. Clean restaurant but dated and dull atmosphere. Sixty dollars for three dishes of decent proportion and a pop. Even simple Chinese is getting expensive to eat out.Vegetarian options: Tofu and vegetables.

Recommended dishes: Dinner for Three

I have ordered food from Chinatown multiple times, it’s been decent. Tonight however, the experience wasn’t great. I called in an order for a dinner for three and asked to substitute one of the items for another. I explained several times that it was a substitution, not an addition. My wife picked up the order and found it more expensive than usual.Food was ok at best. (Hence the stars) But as it turns out, they added an item instead of substituting it. I called to explain the error. There was no apology, and if I wanted my money back, I’d have to drive the food back to the restaurant…a very strange, and uncourteous response.I didn’t open the item, and would have gladly returned it. However, because of health regulations, restaurants usually take food back. They then informed me that it would simply be dumped in the garbage. In the grand scheme of things, it’s a $15 item…not a huge deal. But that’s not the point. It’s the principle. It says a lot about a business when they take little / no responsibility for their own error and then require you to drive back with the food in order to get a refund, only to watch the food get dumped.Instead, they could have offered an apology, and money back as an acknowledgment of their error. This would have gone a long way to reinforce customer service, and incentivize repeat business.Perhaps they should stroll over to Abe’s and take lessons on how to offers exemplary customer service. So, now, I’ll look at other restaurant options.(I should also mention that the previous time I ordered from Chinatown, they forgot items on my order and wanted me to drive back to get them).

This place has been in operation for decades, although I fail to understand how. I've given it a chance 4-5 times over the past 35 years and each time is worse than the last. They are incapable of making any dish properly as I have had it elsewhere. Everything is overcooked and bland. Sometimes sour when it should be sweet, or just tasteless and rubbery. It's also ridiculously overpriced as compared to other Chinese places. Anywhere else you go, you get a small order of steamed rice with each entree included in the price. Not here. Avoid this place. Go to Golden City for delicious Chinese food.

All the food we had here was Bland with no spices. It's also very expensive for what you get.

If you guys are looking for a place having good chicken soup. Avoid going this place. They serve salted water with few pc of chicken and a-lot of rice. It was just a wastage of money for me. Chose wisely go to hakka Chinese kitchen either. Lastly, if it’s 8 and they are closing at 9, they won’t let u dine in. Worst experience ??

Went there as I am still looking for good Chinese food takeout. This one seems clean and nice. (No more lunch deals I could see.) However, I asked for the hung pow lunch which cost me more than I thought it would and when I got home to enjoy this "careful spicy" lunch, there was NO spicy taste. It was nothing. I could taste a bit of the cooked vegies and a few peanuts but no spice whatsoever. What is the point of Kung Pow if there is no spice? The chicken balls were pretty good though...

Quick take out order on the way home for dinner. As always, food was excellent, service great.

This restaurant used to be the bomb from 1980s to 2017 then the original owner sold.it's never been the same.
