Ordered this weekend, has been awhile so we thought we’d give it a try again but the food was less than ideal. Order was wrong and take out containers were melted on top of food.
Burgers had such a strong charcoal taste, it lasted in your stomach and burps for hours after and made it impossible to finish. The Chocolate milk shake was more like shaved ice, milk and chocolate syrup not a real milkshake by any means and the chocolate taste of completely off putting, don’t think we’ll be back! Sorry.

As a Google Guide, I visit a lot of burger spots, and this place has been a staple in London for 45 years. The young lady at the counter was very kind and polite.
I ordered a classic burger — when you go to a burger place, you get a burger. It was made fresh to order, pressed right then and there, with a nice smoky flavour that reminded me a bit of Smashburger. The bun was toasted, and you can fully customize your toppings, which I always appreciate. The fries were fresh-cut and you could tell.
Simple spot, good food, great service. I’d definitely go back. I’ll post some photos — support your local businesses!

Loved Dandy burgers for years and is a London Gem. They rate themselves I believe, the 9th best in Ontario ( love that ),if they move up to 6th May stop going there lol.
Just a dang good burger and fries, the best.

Very bad customer service, and refused to honor menu price. Went to purchase 3 Philly cheese steaks at 10.99 menu price but rang up at 11.99. Questioned the customer service worker about it and he said it was because of the cheese. Nothing on the menu says anything about with or without cheese and only the 10.99 price is listed and it is called a Philly cheese steak, implying it comes with cheese. He continued to argue and said no one has ever complained before, likely because they just didn't notice. I canceled my order and left. Be careful and pay attention to the actual price of things, some places will scam you just like this one tried.

Great experience at Dandy’s Restaurant! The food was fresh and full of flavor, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was really nice. You can tell they care about quality and customers. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others. 👏

(2026/01/15) Only came here because my initial planned spot was not open. No daily deals nor special offers. Overall, Dandy's is an okay place for a quick meal, just okay.
On their website, 2 pieces of Halibut Fish with Chips for $14.50. But the staff I met today told me that was the price for 1 piece of Halibut Fish with Chips, not sure what was wrong. In the end, I paid $20.00 (before tax and tips) for 2 pieces of Halibut Fish with Chips and 1 cup of Fountain Drink – still reasonable price but why the inconsistency.
The fish was yummy for a moment, but then I found it a bit greasy with a thick batter, which made the whole pieces look larger – the actual fillets inside were not. The chips were okay, far from the best or the worst I had ever had. A bit worried after finishing the whole plate – literally a paper plate usually found in a canopy party – why not a proper plate? I hope my stomach will be fine.
The baklava was probably already there for a long time, syrup everywhere. But the sweetness turned out to be surprisingly acceptable, so as the texture.
Given a same budget, you can find options in the downtown with better foods and similar portions – nothing magic here. Maybe I should have ordered their Burgers like the staff recommended. Maybe the experience would be better in that way.

Still ok here not like it used to be. Got the rib eye sandwich very disappointed. It was paper thin and tough. Also messy. Not like it used to be. Couldn't even finish it.

Great service, had the chicken Caesar salad - it was really tasty. Everything was fresh - guy was nice.
My friend and I went for dinner at 8pm and I start vomiting at midnight. The next day I had a fever and abdominal pain so we couldn't call the place. I started feeling better so I called the place to race my concerns they offered me a free meal and when I said i don't want to eat there ever again and that I'm just calling to let them know that they need to clean the place they said the place is clean and that i need to worry about my own hygiene and that no one has ever complained in 10 years. My friend and I have the same symptoms.
There were no sympathy at all on the phone. It's insane. definitely will be calling the health and safety so this does not happen again

My friend and I have been coming here for a while but yesterday we ordered door dash and the order was completely wrong. We called to let them know and they accused us of trying to scam them. They started yelling at us and started to accuse door dash as well. I do not recommend supporting this place.
