Took 15 minutes before a server took an order and quite awhile for bacon and eggs, which were only warm. This seems to be the norm when we go for breakfast. However it is inexpensive so I guess that is the trade off.

It's was not what I expected it to be. Definitely wait till the renos are done on the restaurant cause the make shift dining room was so bright. It felt like we were in the legion having dinner. Fish and chips were good big portions but a bit too greasy. We had the friendliest server so that was good. I wouldn't go back until Reno is done.

Our server was not friendly at all and she did not serve us. We were there for an hour, and everyone around us was being served before us who showed up after when we did. When we asked her where our food was she said “don’t you see we’re busy?” When we asked another server for help she went to our server who just ignored us. We tried calling the restaurant to speak to a manager to see if they can just check on our server because she seemed bothered when we arrived, but guess who answered our phone… the server who couldn’t serve us breakfast. She said she’d take my number down and I said I’ll just wait on hold to speak to a manager. We were placed on a long hold.Overall, I never got to speak to a manager. I don’t think the manager was ever coming. She left me on hold like she left me hungry.I wouldn’t recommend going there. Can’t rate the food but I can rate the service and also the atmosphere. They pick and choose who they want to serve. Waiting over an hour and not getting food, while new customers arrive and get theirs in 10 minutes.Im very hangry now and I won’t be coming to their $5 breakfast starting tomorrow. You might be waiting the next five years for it.

I had dined several times at the restaurant at the Gateway Casino previously, but I was unprepared for the "new" restaurant. Not only was it in a new location, but it was very noisy and cramped. There was a pre-set NYE menu, but the food was not what was listed. When I made the reservation, I noted that there was a celiac diner in my party. There was one gluten-free appetizer choice; one GF entree choice, and no GF dessert, even though one was listed on the menu - it turned out the creme brûlée was in fact cheesecake with a bottom crust and crumble top. The appetizers were fine. Although I wanted the stuffed mushrooms, the server said the kitchen could not confirm that they were gluten-free. My companion enjoyed them and I had a nice salad. It was OK, but I really wanted those mushrooms. I had the chicken entree - the only one that was gluten-free - and it was actually very good. The portion was generous, the cheese on it was very melty, and the rice was very tasty. My companion ordered the prime rib and it was a miserable excuse for a $40 prime rib dinner. If there was 3 ounces of meat I would be surprised. A couple tablespoons of potatoes were nestled into a flat Yorkshire pudding. For dessert, my companion ordered the Death by Chocolate Cake. Although the portion size was generous, the cake was dense and stale. A chocolate cake connoisseur does not think "death by chocolate" means the cake has died. The service was very good, the waitress attentive and cheerful. BUT, the kitchen staff did not seem to know which items on the menu it could guarantee were gluten-free. I suspect that the food was brought in by a caterer, which would also explain why the "medium-rare" prime rib looked like it had spent hours under warming lights, as it was a pale grey colour, not a nice pink. With tip (the waitress earned her tip), the meal came to $212.00 for 2 people. The waitress left coupons for $10 off each entree for a return visit. I left them on the table - I won't return.

My wife booked your establishment for my birthday. We arrived early and found a table on our own. We looked over the menu and both of us decided on the chicken breast with gravy that included fries or mashed potatoes and coleslaw. When the dishes arrived we looked down and found something that looked like an extra thin breaded cutlet and it was so over done three quarters of it was impossible to cut, my wife had to pick it up with her hand and bite it to be able to finish it. When the server came over to see how are meal was we explained it to her and she asked if we wanted to see her manager and we said no. I am glad we had a chance to let you know about our experience. The dish is not worth $20.00 Ron and Debbie Gauthier

The waitress wasn't very attentive and we felt like we were being rushed. She brought the bill without asking if we would like dessert. When she brought the dessert she did not bring a knife so could it as we told her we were sharing it.

The steak was done to perfection, The mashed potaoes were standard. The veggies....corn and carrots..... were sub standard.....luke warm and tasteless. The side of shrimp was not appealing in any way. The side of mushrooms were terrible.....canned mushrooms just thrown into a bowl. The service was nondescript....we did not feel overly welcome!!

We ordered breakfast and club. By time food came breakfast was cold. Couldnt get a refill on drinks plus some more jam until we flagged one of the many passing staff.even then it wasnt her section so by that time the toast was stone cold. It wasnt that busy so no reason why. Pretty disappointed this time round

Dinner was OK, thought it was a bit pricey. Was asked if I wanted sour cream with my baked potato and didn't realize it was an added cost, found out when the bill arrived. Asked for some fried onions with my steak. Knew I would be charged extra but didn't realize it would be $5.00. Ambience is not the greatest. The service was fine. Use to come here often before Covid and hadn't been since it began. Not really impressed this visit, don't know that we will return. When I set up the reservation one of the questions was "the reason for the reservation". I typed in the celebration reason for the reservation and no one said one word to us about it. Thought there was a reason for that question.

I had steak (slightly tough) the mashed potatoes & veggies were good. My friend had the Casino burger with fries, he was happy with his order. The atmosphere & the service was comfortable & speedy. No complaints. It was a dine in.
