Enjoyed the fish and chips. Crispy and soft inside but not too greasy. Portions were good. Great value
Excellent service, my family really enjoyed the fish and chips. Try the onion rings!
This is a great place to grab a bite of seafood, their choices include, shrimp and chicken but mostly is seafood. I personally love halibut but there are other choices. They offer trout, salmon and chowder, if you are for a taste of seafood, this is your place. Pieces are huge and you won't go hungry....two thumbs up 👍
Amazing fish very crispy and the poutine is a 10/10 definitely number one restaurant
Food is always fantastic.
Staff are polite. Food was served fresh and hot. Very tasty. Our first visit but not our last
I was very disappointed because I asked if the fries were fresh cut and they were not. If I wanted frozen fries I would haved stay at home. The fish was good we ordered takeout but I don't get the fries why frozen take the time and do it right.
Good fish grappy fries
The fish was great! I added a star for the fries.
We went for lunch last week and our halibut dinner was so good, we had to go back again today! 😋 We have been to 2 other places in town, and neither one compares to Golden Lake! The portions are huge, the place is clean, and the owner is very pleasant! We're taking hubby's brother in a couple of weeks! Thanks for serving good quality food! See you soon, Jim and Laura. 5 star's from us!

Interesting decor, colorful and bright but getting a little aged and needing a refreshing. The bathroom needs better regular maintenance and cleaning, looking as if regular upkeep was lacking. Things like brackets and covers need replaced and properly fastened.
The service was ok, simple but not on task, slow on drink refills and lacking napkins and followup after food delivered to table. The bacon cheeseburger looked good but lacking quality meat. Highly processed patty snd bacon was some kind of mystery substitute.

The fish and chips were priced fairly although an extra 2.99 for coleslaw seemed a little extreme. The plate served looked good and golden brown. The fries were fresh cut but not crispy, obviously not parboiled therefore not up to texture.
The fish was more of a slice of fish evident once cut into. The flavor was hard to tell because of the fish to batter ratio. The fish was not full and flakey but instead mushy and thin with mostly chewy texture because the cut was close to the bone including cartilage like texture. Although edible, I would prefer a better cut not close to the connective tissue. Although some may like.
this, I do not.
The cost at $50 for 2 meals was not excessive however we did not finish our meals and left still hungry and a little disappointed, there is so much potential here. Perhaps things will get better. The restaurant was not busy on Friday at dinner time which should have been a warning sign.
Sorry I wished it was better.
Amazing fish, fried mushrooms were spot on, gravy is not out of a can.
Amazing food, fresh product, quick and friendly service. Highly recommend!
The best fish and chips in London. 👍👌

We love this place!
The go-to for lunch with my co-workers and family.
A generous portion of fish. I like the haddock. Never overcooked, which happens more easily with halibut. Served with a MOUND of decent fries.... to the point of needing a larger plate! LOL
They have a variety of homemade pies. However, I'm so full, there's no room!
I retired last week.... I will absolutely drive the 45 minutes through town to have lunch with the cellmates I left behind! LOLOL
Cheers!
