Sunny is the best staff there. But there's one girl staff there name starts with R, gave our order wrong. I love this resto until that happened. Its frustrating because I ordered 2 orders of sashimi, and 1 party tray of sushi rolls and she gave me 2 orders or sashimi (which is correct) and 1 party tray of another sashimi. Very disappointed! No time to return and complain because our visitors arrived. Hope it will not happen again in the future.

THE GOOD:Hanabi Sushi has some of the best sushi / Japanese dishes I have eaten in all of London. They offer a diverse range of food and I haven't even begun to scratch the surface. My favourite is the crab meat oshi and the volcano roll. I recommend finishing off with green tea cheesecake.Portions are reasonable for the price and I always leave feeling more than full.THE BAD:Okay - so the other day, my wife and I went out for sushi with her cousins, and Hanabi was our first choice. When we arrived, they were extremely busy and had no room for people. OK, we thought. We asked a server how long it would take for a table to free up and she said about 15 minutes.We waited that time, came back, and there were still no tables. OK, we thought. We left again and kept an eye on the restaurant to see if tables freed up, occasionally sticking our necks in to check and show the server we were still there.Then, 30 minutes after the 15 minutes (45 total), we were bluntly informed that they would not be able to give us a table - AT ALL. If there were no tables available, I would have liked to hear "no" before freezing my butt off for 45 minutes.In addition, when we have successfully visited in the past, nobody usually comes by to check on us at our table after receiving our food, and so we usually have to go up to the chefs to ask about something... water refills, desserts, etc.Bottom line is you need to work on your service during peak times. Seriously.

During the times we've dined in, it has been very difficult to get ahold of the waitress for any type of service after the order was placed. We've ended up having to walk over to the chefs on a few occasions to ask for something because the waitress was in the back.Most recently we arrived with a group of 5 adults and a child, we were told that it would be roughly a 10 minute wait, we offered to leave our name and number but they refused and told us to just wait outside. We kept an eye on the door, waiting to see when their large group would leave. We ended up waiting for about 20-30 minutes before following up again at which point they told us they could not accommodate our group at all. In the time we were waiting, they also went ahead and seated a smaller group of people, rather than waiting to put 2 tables together for us. They claimed to have searched for us but we were right outside the door and none of their workers came out during that time. They said they would only accommodate a group of 4 people maximum regardless of the fact that they currently had a group of 6 finishing up their meal when we first arrived. This was a fairly unprofessional and unpleasant experience. We are rather reluctant to go back any time soon or leave any type of decent tip.
