Wonderful service with a quiet ambiance. Wednesday evening has light Jazz music with a very tasteful BBQ, a filling meal, well worth the cost.

Our only problem was with the menu selection... every item sounded spectacular. We had a hard time selecting what to order! We will definitely have to go back to work our way through the menu. We can highly recommend the Idlewyld for your special evening out.

We thoroughly enjoyed the steak and salmon dinners. The service and ambiance were exceptional. We highly recommend giving Idlewyld a try and we will be back.

Food & Service was excellent as usual A great venue for fine dining in an elegant setting Was disappointed that we were not able to dine on the veranda - I thought I had clicked on “porch” when asked area of sitting but apparently it did not appear in the reservation—but lunch was outstanding & will definitely return

Our stay at Idlewild Inn and spa was amazing. It suited us to a T and we loved every minute of it. Very relaxing. The spa was wonderful. Breakfasts were delicious. Dinner was a two hour delicious experience. We will be back.

We celebrated a late Mother’s Day and my granddaughter’s birthday with afternoon tea at the Idlewyld Inn this weekend. The Inn is so beautiful and Sue and Jacqui were very welcoming and attentive. Jacqui even picked flowers from the garden for our table. The scones, savoury delicacies and sweets were delicious and displayed on lovely tiered trays. It was a perfect way to spend a girls’ day. My 11 year old granddaughter loved every minute and said it was amazing. Thank you for making her day special.

What a nice getaway and spa. Folks were friendly and service was great. Good was yummy and we enjoyed ourselves and relaxed!

The food was significantly overpriced for the quality offered. We tried the Lamb Loin, Beef Tenderloin, Grilled New York Striploin, and Seafood Linguini — unfortunately, none of them met expectations. The lamb had a strong, unpleasant gamey odor, the others were overly salty, and the Striploin was tough and overcooked. The ambiance also left much to be desired; black tablecloths gave the place a cheap and uninviting feel. Service was inattentive and unenthusiastic. Overall, a disappointing experience. We won’t be returning and will advise friends to look elsewhere.

Building looks amazing and staff were excellent. Meal was a bit of a disappointment. Soup was very heavy and the lamb tenderloin was not that great. My wife had the chicken and it was really good.

The cocktails, food and service were excellent. Unfortunately, a party of seven was seated nearby that completely ruined the whole evening for us. This "birthday party" was very loud and we had to listen to all of their conversations during the entire evening. The dining room was not busy and this party could have been seated in their adjoining ante room so as to not affect the guests in this small main dining room. Also, there was a wedding going on downstairs and the area where we were seated was obviously understaffed....one waitress in each of the two rooms. It is unfortunate because this is a great place with so much ambience.

We had brunch there last Sunday. Overpriced for value. Service was slow and inattentive for a supposed “high quality” inn experience and the highest priced fixed price brunch in town. Appetizers were good but crab soufflé entree tasted like canned crab in a large ramekin with store bought pastry topper. The “gelato” was more like an iced pistachio. Menus appeared old, wrinkled and tattered. Weren't seated properly. Pointed to our table from across the room. Parking lot was packed with parking next door - not a good option for 2 seniors with mobility limitations. Phoned general manager who listened about concerns but got the impression she may get many complaints and had a standard response of we're sorry and hope you'll try to let us prove you wrong the next time. No thanks! The quality of my experience was very disappointing and their quality standards have fallen considerably from 2020 when I was there last. Won't be returning. Too bad, the property has such potential! Wasn't going to post this but thought I'd warn those hoping for a really good experience.
