The cocktails, food and service were excellent. Unfortunately, a party of seven was seated nearby that completely ruined the whole evening for us. This "birthday party" was very loud and we had to listen to all of their conversations during the entire evening. The dining room was not busy and this party could have been seated in their adjoining ante room so as to not affect the guests in this small main dining room. The Idlewyld Inn never disappoints. It's a beautiful building with lots of character. My husband and I got married at this venue several years ago and we return for dinner at least once per year around our anniversary. The cost for a meal is on par with other high end restaurants of similar caliber. The food presentation is always exquisite and the taste lives up to the presentation.
