I ordered the cake in the morning for same-day pickup, basically just said “it’s a birthday cake for a mother, just make it taste and look good” — no other direction other than “vanilla”. He made it fresh with the most delicious lemony soak and the decoration was absolutely beautiful. The traditional icing impressed everybody. So smooth and not so rich like buttercream.
