Went there last week and 7 people, including myself, got our phones stolen from our back pockets/purses! Staff was not very helpful. I've heard many people get there phones stolen here, and nothing is being done about it.

absolutely never returning here!!! the girl brunnet bouncer is the most disrespectful lady i’ve ever met. i’m extremely shocked. my friends of colour were treated SO poorly by her. she didn’t just not let them in, she made extremely racist and rude comments towards all of them. this isn’t okay.

Went to Jacks for Dollar Beer Monday and it was a great night. I grabbed a Happy Dad and the bartender was super friendly even with how busy it was. The energy was fun and it was the perfect low-key night out. I’ll definitely be back.

Never had a problem with Jacks until recent weeks, specifically Mondays, specifically the brunette, female bouncer, started racially profiling me and my friends. Tell me how a group of fifteen, all of age and only the people of colour are asked for a second piece or denied all together. In this day and age, how is this acceptable?

I went out with friends for drinks last night on Halloween, while standing at the bar waiting for service a girl beside me started to pass out and go limp in a man’s arms. A bunch of woman around got concerned and tried to flag the bartenders attention for water and to see if they’d be able to help the situation. However the girls working the bar quickly turned towards the situation and screamed at us, saying they were busy and could only pour drinks so fast completely disregarding the seriousness of the situation, this is the kind of behaviour that can get your smart serve taken away. I was appalled and I seriously hope the manager fires these girls as I never want another young woman in a similar situation to not get treated the way she deserves.

Went there this past new years with my boyfriend no problem, about a month later we tried to come back and my boyfriend was denied for his cultural small face tattoo. Were told the new owner implemented new rules no face tattoos and something about a dress code aswell. You’re a bar on Richmond row not an elite club, take care of the roaches on the walls and tables first before being discriminative towards others based on how they look. Been there plenty of times to have a good time and never caused any problems or headaches, always been respectful towards the workers and tip bartenders. Most people without any tattoos are always the ones to cause problems. Please update your policies and dress codes to the public if you’re going to be discriminative and racially profile others based on a small face tattoo.
