It was a really nice breakfast place. It was very clean. The owner was obviously training the waitress but as there were only 2 tables at the time it take away from the service. Lots of food, big portions. We unknowingly went just before closing.

Husband and I have been going on breakfast dates on weekends without the kids for the past little while. What we do is open up Google map, search for “brunch” and “open now” and pick one from the list wherever we are at that moment. Today’s choice is again something we passed by many times but never actually went in at James Place Restaurant.
We were seated promptly and been asked what we would like to order for drinks by a staff member before a server is available.
My mocha coffee with maple syrup and cinnamon without cream or milk is very delicious and hubby’s hot coffee is bottomless as expected.
Server took our order shortly after our drinks arrived and food was delivered very quickly. Despite that, we can tell everything is freshly prepared. We enjoyed every bite and had leftovers to bring home.
We loved this place and will mark it for a place we can return for brunch.

Potatoes were not fresh and the hollandaise sauce tasted off. Poached eggs were done perfectly, bacon was just ok. The toast was good and well-buttered.
