I've been coming to this place normally once a month since 1999 and I've never had a bad meal. However, the last 2 visits the service has been questionable. Our last visit our server forgot part of our order. The other server was kind enough to bring it to our table without anything being said. Today, we had the same forgetful server and the whole experience started off bad. My wife ordered tea and our server dropped the tea pot on our table spilling a bunch of it. Took zero notice and walked away. She came back and took our order. And again, forgot the same items she had forgotten last time. Although this time, we never received the items. There was zero follow-up to check up on our drinks or to see how our food was. When she finally did come by to collect our plates she didn't ask how anything was or if we wanted anything else. She came back 2 minutes later and, like with my wifes tea, dropped the plate on our table with the bill and walked away. 10 minutes later we finally get her return with the debit machine. And it wasn't even busy. I hate to say it, but it may be time to find a new regular spot to visit. It's a shame because the food has always been great, the atmosphere and views are nice. And all the other staff we've had in the past has been great.

Love having breakfast at the Katana cafe but today's was very disappointing. Incredibly slow service and the food was not up to its usual standard. I had the breakfast wrap and no where in the description did it indicate that there was romaine lettuce in the egg wrap. At the very least this is an odd ingredient in a breakfast wrap, but when half the wrap was lettuce (enough to make a small salad) and the other ingredients were either not there or minimal, it was disappointing. I've had this wrap before and never once had lettuce on it. After picking it out I had very little left in the wrap to eat. If you are changing the ingredients, you need to state that on your menu. I would normally have sent it back but the waitress took so long to come back to the table, I had to start eating as the rest of the meals at the table were being eaten and I would have been holding everyone up waiting for a replacement.

It’s our first time here for breakfast and we enjoyed our meal before the open house next door.
We are sure everything was freshly prepared as they are piping hot. Portions might look small but don’t be fooled, it is actually super filling and I can barely finish my katana omelette with all the sides.
I must also comment the plating is more delicate than other breakfast places and everything is reasonably priced.
We will be back for sure when the lil one start flying from here.

First time visiting katana kafe and we were very pleased. The service was friendly, prompt, the atmosphere was neat watching the planes and helicopters take off and land. Food was decent and dessert was good.

First time at Katana Kafé & definitely not the last🛫🛬 Finally tried Katana Kafe after hearing about it for years! Since we planned to hike at Fanshawe Conservation Area, it was the perfect excuse-only 6 mins away🚗🌲🥾 🥪Bloody Mary Brisket Sandwich - Brisket in a vodka tomato Worcestershire reduction on a brioche bun with pickled red onion & cabbage (so good, we'd come back just for this!) also the soup of the day was my fav. Thai curry, dipping the sandwich in that was the best move🤤 🥩7 oz. Striploin Steak - Chimichurri, seasonal veggies & fries (solid choice!) We split everything and felt super satisfied with our picks. The service was fast, the vibe was cozy, and the patio overlooking the London International Airport runway makes it a cool spot. Can only imagine how packed it gets in summer☀️
