I've been coming to this place normally once a month since 1999 and I've never had a bad meal. However, the last 2 visits the service has been questionable. Our last visit our server forgot part of our order. The other server was kind enough to bring it to our table without anything being said. Today, we had the same forgetful server and the whole experience started off bad. My wife ordered tea and our server dropped the tea pot on our table spilling a bunch of it....
Love having breakfast at the Katana cafe but today's was very disappointing. Incredibly slow service and the food was not up to its usual standard. I had the breakfast wrap and no where in the description did it indicate that there was romaine lettuce in the egg wrap. At the very least this is an odd ingredient in a breakfast wrap, but when half the wrap was lettuce (enough to make a small salad) and the other ingredients were either not there or minimal, it was disappointing....
It’s our first time here for breakfast and we enjoyed our meal before the open house next door.
We are sure everything was freshly prepared as they are piping hot. Portions might look small but don’t be fooled, it is actually super filling and I can barely finish my katana omelette with all the sides.
I must also comment the plating is more delicate than other breakfast places and everything is reasonably priced.
