My boyfriend and I visited this spot for the first time last weekend, and wow—what a game-changer! Hands down, one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve ever had.

We ordered the Texas Trinity and the Nashville Hot Tenders (medium heat). Everything was fresh, the brisket and ribs practically melted in our mouths, and every bite was a win.

Now, here’s where it got really fun. That weekend, they were running a spicy chicken challenge: eat two of the hottest tenders on the menu, and you win a T-shirt. My boyfriend loves spicy food, but he decided to skip the challenge since he wasn’t sure just how fiery it would be.

The super friendly gentleman working there must have sensed his curiosity, because he brought out one extra-hot tender—on the house—for him to try. Let me tell you… this thing was HOT. My boyfriend was both thrilled and slightly on fire, which made for great entertainment.

And then—customer service gold—the same gentleman brought over a banana pudding to help cool things down. Not only was it the perfect heat-buster, but it was also hands-down the best banana pudding we’ve ever tasted.

Between the incredible food, genuine hospitality, and that extra special touch, this place instantly landed in our “favourite restaurants” list. I’d recommend it a thousand times over.

If you haven’t been yet… seriously, what are you waiting for?

Easily the best chicken and fries I’ve ever had, everything is smoked outside and while waiting for your food inside you can play arcade games with amazing customer service.

I'd like to preface by saying I wish I could give this place 5/5, but there was one thing in particular holding me back. My friends and I ordered a variety of things. The turkey, wings, chicken tenders, and the sides were all fantastic. However, the brisket was a bit of a let down. Granted, the seasoning on the brisket was on point, but it was dry. We went and ordered at around 5pm (not sure if that had an impact on it or not). I'll be returning in the weeks to come to give the brisket another shot; I'm hoping it was just an off day, but the brisket my friends got was also fairly dry. That being said, I would still highly recommend this place to anybody that asks. Looking forward to my next visit!!

This place has become one of my go-tos for entertaining people because the beer and atmosphere at Forked River is fantastic, it's never crowded and the food from Kyle's is some of the best BBQ in London. Their chicken sandwich uses dark meat so it's definitely unique in that way, they also have a brisket sandwich which I think is probably their strongest menu item. The brisket has a perfect bark to it and just falls apart in your mouth, the flavour is phenomenal. Pairing all that delicious meat with some cold assorted beers is a match made in heaven, I had a good time messing around with the pinball machines too. Such a great hidden gem tucked away in that dead industrial strip mall, the sneaky location makes it all that more special; it's never packed and rowdy. Good stuff. 👍

Great food but even greater service. Jay treated us like gold. Must get pulled pork, pickle fries, beans, and can’t forget the banana pudding. Can’t wait to come back for the brisket… Sells out fast!

We finally made it to Kyle’s Fried Chicken + BBQ before moving —and wow, it lived up to every expectation. Nestled inside Forked River Brewing Company at 45 Pacific Court, the setting is a relaxed, warehouse-style brewery with craft beers, occasional live music, and a laid-back crowd—perfect for enjoying top-notch BBQ in good company.

From our party of six, five of us chose the brisket sandwich, while our daughter had the chicken tenders. The brisket was smoked to perfection—juicy, tender, with a deep bark reminiscent of Southern BBQ legends. Several local reviewers have called it “the best brisket in town,” crediting its smoke ring and flavor punch as standout factors
My daughter’s chicken tenders were just as memorable—big, crispy, and juicy, with a well-balanced seasoning and that unmistakable Alabama-style white sauce that really brought the dish together.
We complemented our main dishes with baked beans, coleslaw, and cornbread. The baked beans had a subtle chili powder warmth—deep, slightly spicy, yet not overwhelming—a flavor twist that elevated the dish. The slaw was crisp and fresh, cutting through the richness of the meats, and the cornbread was moist with just a hint of sweetness—excellent all around.
The atmosphere at Forked River adds so much to the experience. You order at a small window, grab a beer, and wait for your buzzer.
In short: Kyle’s flew past our high South Carolina BBQ benchmarks. From the brisket’s bark and melt-in-your-mouth texture to the chicken tenders dunked in authentic white sauce, plus sides that brought both heat and harmony, every bite felt intentional. The vibe is warm, the owners clearly care, and the reputation in the London food scene is glowing. If you’re chasing real Southern BBQ far from the South, Kyle’s delivers in full.

Food was good especially the chicken! Got the nashville chicken and medium heat level and it has a really good heat level. My husband loves spicy food and even he thought it was pretty spicy. I would say their chicken is better than their BBQ stuff but it was still decent. I would have preferred the brisket cuts to be thinner, they were way too thick and not as juicy as I'd hope. The ribs were good as well and I really enjoyed the cornbread, their portions were big which surprised me!

It was my first time coming here so ordering was a bit confusing. You have to go to the ordering door on the left side, order and oay first. Then you go inside the resturant/bar and wait for your food inside.

Pretty good taste but found the brisket overly dry. Loved the sausage as it was the juiciest. This plate include the meat attack, some cornbread and burnt ends. Enjoyed the horseradishy garlicky sauce. Cost over $100 so I might say it's a bit pricey too. Overall, full and satisfied to a degree.

I am not typically much of a barbecue person so the fact I've been dreaming of the brisket and ribs the last few days should be a good indication of the quality.

The prices are quite reasonable too, I got the platter A for lunch to split with someone and it was $42 and we both left full (though I could definitely demolish more if I prepared for it). I just can't believe this place was so close to me and I'd never heard of it till now.

Food was amazing. If you get the spices chicken sandwich it is hot. Their mild is like most restaurant's medium. Just remember their spice level is one level higher then most places. I'm totally coming back here again.
