The quality and portion sizes were above my expectations, especially for the price. I was really impressed with the quality of the sashimi, they were fresh and large pieces, so you definitely get your money's worth when you order a sashimi combo or platter. I also ordered miso soup, seaweed salad and deep-fried cheese wantons and the portions were generous for the price that I paid. The wantons were full, and the cheese filling was really tasty. The miso had nice big pieces of seaweed and tofu which was above my expectations. I've been to Japanese restaurants that serve underwhelming miso, with few tiny pieces of seaweed and tofu, or sometimes just broth with disintegrated tofu bits - Mikado definitely offers the best miso I've tried in London and again the portions are great for the price.

I was craving sushi but not much was open because of Family Day so decided to try Mikado as I had never been. Sooo impressed! The rolls were delicious. Absolutely loved the cheese wontons and the Crab King Roll was amazing!!! Will definitely be back.

Tried this place on a whim because it was close to where I was. Looked at the menu and the selection looked good and the prices were fair. I got a Kani salad and Tray B to share (takeout). Everyone really enjoyed it! The sushi was fresh and delicious, very tasty. If I find myself back in the area I would definitely be down to do a sit down meal and explore the menu more. Recommend!

Never have had a bad experience here. The quality is amazing and the fish is so fresh. Extensive menu, there is something everyone. The sashimi is very thick and fresh. Service is very fast. Have only two small complaints. 1. It is a wee bit chilly, but nothing too extreme.2. The tempura sauce always tasted slightly burnt for some reason, but still is not too bad. The tempura itself is AMAZING, not overly done, crispy, and hot. It is done to perfection.Has been my go to for a long time.
This place was recommended to me by a friend and I’m exceptionally disappointed I decided to listen to them. To start off, we went on a Sunday night and they were bringing the deliveries in through the front door during dinner hour so they had the doors propped open and it was freezing outside - had to ask them to close them, plus this just seems like bad practices during dinner hour. The shrimp tempura was not tempura, just deep fried crunchy batter, probably the worst I’ve ever had. We got the mango salad and it was definitely not a salad, just chunks of raw mango in a bowl. The Thai crispy chicken was disgusting, it tasted burnt and unrecognizable in flavour. We were also hesitant to order any rolls because their iPads don’t list any roll ingredients and the photos on there don’t match what they have listed on their website which is unacceptable because you never know what you’re actually getting. I have been to many sushi restaurants, high and low end, and this is one of the worst I have visited. To top it all off, they have a sign up in the bathroom telling you to throw your used toilet paper in the open (full) trash can beside the toilet which is disgusting in my opinion.On the upside, the salmon sushi was fantastic with large portions and tasted very fresh. Won’t be coming back though.

I only got the spicy salmon and spicy tuna rolls and they were extremely confusing. They have a very predominant spring onion taste and weren’t even spicy just kind of oniony. Also the tuna was a little weird, it was white tuna but had almost not flavour. I would recommend so many other sushi places over this one regarding these specific rolls. I did not try their other food so I have no idea how good the rest of the food is, but you can do much better for these specific maki rolls

Ate here a few years ago and it was very good then, went back on Saturday for dinner and was disappointed. The food was just ok, as was the service. But the place was dirty. Boxes piled all over the front of the restaurant, sticky table, food splashes all over the window coverings and back of chairs etc. You need to close for a day and completely clean the place and put all those boxes away... it's sad, because we have really enjoyed it in the past.

We placed an order for pick up. The three crispy spicy items all had green onions mixed in, they were not listed on the ingredient list for the items and dominated the taste. We get sushi frequently from other restaurants and don't have this issue other places, we couldn't finish eating our items.I was excited when we moved to the neighborhood to have a walkable sushi place however I am very disappointed.
