Old Bagel House

I can't speak of the atmosphere because I had ordered delivery but I was definitely underwhelmed with the taste of the food and disappointed with the portion size. I ordered a BLT and the tomato was paper thin, I couldn't taste it, the bacon was hardly noticeable and one small sheet of lettuce leaf. It was untoasted so basically I had a bagel with mayo. And I was surprised with how small the bagels were. Then I also ordered egg salad and it looks like I was charged 7.99 for 3 small hard boiled eggs or two large ones. The last thing was an order of 6 plain bagels separate to share with people later but they were 2 poppyseed, 2 sesame seed and one raisin and one salt. I could have made the mistake maybe, I don't know, I'll look later but I wanted 6 plain bagels. The salt bagel was disgusting. The others I can live with I guess but that salt bagel was just unnatural. I thought it was sugar coated or something but anyway, we put cream cheese on it, someone took a bite and stopped mid-chew. They couldn't finish it. I felt terrible but kinda laughed about it. Anyway,,, the whole experience was just not good. I've never seen smaller bagels and topped with smaller portions.

Hands down the best bagels in London! The texture and flavor are always spot on. My only small gripe is that the garlic bagels are so popular they often sell out early I’d love to see them stay in stock longer because they are incredible. Definitely worth a visit

Excellent selection of bagels that are made fresh throughout the day. Onion bagels seem to run out quickly so come early, if this is your bagel of choice.

delicious Montreal-style bagels. They have amazing flavours in bagels but I love the classic sesame bagel .We moved away from this area but I come from out of town to get these bagels because it is so hard to find bagels of this quality.

I love Montreal bagels. Was happy to find this place as I haven't had one in ages. Imagine my disappointment when I did not get a Montreal bagel. These are nothing near a Montreal bagel or Montreal style bagel. Something you'd buy from No Frills. No taste hard texture. Not worth the money.

I think this is definitely the best bagel I’ve ever had! I had the everything bagel with dill and pesto cream cheese and it was amazing! I was tempted to try the cinnamon raisin bagel as that’s all I could smell when I walked in and it was super tempting :) I’ll definitely be trying that next time. I also tried the potato latkes and they were delicious! I highly recommend this place.

Bought a dozen Bagels. They were gross tasted stale and gummy. In fact I cut one of the Bagels open the next day and it crumbled apart. Try and put that in a toaster. I will not be back personally.
I’ve never tried Montreal Bagels, if this is how they taste you can keep them.

I can’t compare these bagels to authentic Montreal style bagels due to lack of experience. I can compare these bagels to other traditional options within Ontario or more specifically the big chains. Old Bagel house bagels are unique in flavour and texture and definitely a different bagel, and in my opinion a much better option. I’ve tried a couple different types of bagels and cream cheeses. Sesame is an easy risk free option but very tasty. The everything bagel is a little more adventurous and was very pleasing for me. I got a hint of caraway (maybe) which was a pleasant surprise and definitely added to the overall flavour. My experiences each time trying these bagels leaves me feeling excited for my next opportunity to try them again. I highly recommend giving them a try.
