Went to pick up a deluxe special for dinner one night. Wound up sitting with the owner while they made my pie from scratch. He explained the mural on the wall was to celebrate his son playing soccer, and regaled me with the history of how pizza was pioneered in Naples. Between the massive, delicious pizza, and the loaf of fresh-baked bread he insisted I take with me as well, free of charge, I felt like I'd robbed the place. Probably the most incredible mom and pop pizza shop experience I've ever had. They only take cash, but trust me, it's worth withdrawing a $20 for the experience.

This place gets a big fat 0. These pizza joints that dont open till 4 pm are a joke. Don't care how good there pizza is. Not going to wait till 4 pm to get a pizza when i want pizza at noon or 1 pm or 2 pm. Can just imagine how much business they lose opening at 4 pm.

Can't BELIEVE we hadn't tried Papa's until now. Will definitely return.A very generous and tasty pizza for the price. Thick dough and generous toppings, cooked properly. Reheats beautifully, so buy extra for leftovers :)Service was kind and welcoming and while it's not fancy, the place has tons of charm and character. And a surprising amount of group seating, belying its appearance from the outside.
If you are a fan of old school pizza, this is the place. Ordered a Deluxe and a salad. Very fresh. Will be back.

My wife and I were out looking into a new pizza restaurant yesterday, because we're really not impressed with any of the pizza restaurants out in the west end. We decided to check out Papa's Pizza & Restaurant due to its 5 star rating, so glad we did! As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted by Tony the owner. What a fantastic guy! We ended up talking with him for about 20 minutes while our order was being made. He told us about the history of the restaurant that his father "Papa" started in 1972. Tony, is one of those guys you meet, it just seems like you have known him for ever. When we got home couldn't wait to try our large order. The panzerotti was the best we have ever had loaded, huge and of course deep fried! No wonder it's so popular and the marinara is delicious! 12.95 for the deluxe you can't beat it! Our next taster was the 16 inch deluxe pizza, it was loaded and fantastic pizza and crust one of the best pizzas we have had in a very long time 16.95 take out special! Our last one was Tony's, mother's lasagne that she makes from scratch. It was so good, definitely get that again 11.95! We highly recommend Papa's Pizza and Restaurant! The prices are very reasonable, it is cash only so remember that. Papa's is only open Saturday 4-10 Sunday and Monday closed Tuesday 4-8 Wednesday 4-8 Thursday 4-8 and Friday 4-10. Papas pizza understands that giving customers value is an investment that has big returns. Never again will I spend 35 dollars on 2 value meals at Wendy's or any other chain. But I will continue to frequent Papas pizza.Cheers Tony!
