This was our first experience of the Pickle Barrel in London. We chose the Pickle Barrel because we have history that goes back to the 70's with the location on Leslie Ave in North York. It was our favorite restaurant for a night out then. We were happy with our meals... My wife had the "Love at First Bite" 3 course meal... she began with a Ceasar salad, then the Salmon and rice... she took the chocolate cake home with her. I had the French Onion Soup, followed...

My steak was cooked perfectly. However, I did not find the Caesar salad very good. The dressing was very light, the salad was not covered in dressing & there was no bacon or parmesan cheese in the salad, only crotons. I've had much better Caesar salads.

Thank you for a most enjoyable day, we had a great service from waiter up to the manager. The atmosphere and retro music was fitting to us. Enjoyed the mushroom Swiss burgers we will see you again next Saturday .
