I reserved the Karaoke room for a birthday party and was told that I can order food in the bar, so no food from other restaurants is allowed. However, today they didn’t tell me that the chef is sick until my friend started to sing, so I have to order food delivery from different restaurant but still pay for the Karaoke bill with a mandatory 18% tips (I would definitely give less than 10% if I had a choice). You do know that I have many other choices if I don’t want to sing Karaoke and have a dinner at the same place, right? This was the worst experience for a birthday party. I am totally disappointed and will never go to this bar again. I even wish I never reserved it!

Came into town for a concert and stopped to grab some food and drinks beforehand. Got the BEST appetizer platter (that ultimately got the better of us even though we didn't want to STOP eating it)
On top of that, Hailey was the best waitress we could have asked for! 10/10, will come back again!

Hailey was the most amazing server and helped us with everything we needed! The karaoke room was amazing and we had a blast for our friends birthday! Hailey was so fun and such a positive person!

The Poach has become my home-away-from-home pub. The staff are genuinely nice people and the vibe is chill.

Where the drinks don't suck and the soundtrack is slappin'.

My wife and I decided to swing by Poachers on a Saturday night like we used to back in our university days. We were looking forward to a late bite to eat (Korean fried chicken which we occasionally order from the restaurant upstairs from here) and some cold beer, but after speaking to a server to direct us to an available table (“Thanks for the offer but no need to clean a booth, we’ll take the little table that’s already open since there just the two of us.”) we then watched the same server and her colleague server walk past us several times without stopping. After twenty five minutes of sitting there without any service, trying to catch the servers eye, the booth next to us opened up and was immediately taken by new patrons who had just arrived, taking their coats off. A third server we hadn’t even seen yet immediately attended their table, chatted them up, took their order, then ignored our efforts to get her attention and walked away. It had been over half hour by this point and we left. No idea what led to this outright snub by not one, or two, but three servers. We are both well dressed professionals and were stone cold sober when we arrived. Were we too old in our forties for service here? Regardless, we were hungry and unwilling to stay at a place that didn’t want our business. Plaza Sushi a block up the road had outstanding food, service, cold drinks, and great atmosphere. Don’t go to Poachers if you’re over forty and a great tipper, I guess.

Me and my friends went there to play cards against humanity and eat some food after our evening class at fanshawe. The food was amazing and reasonably priced.

Parking: If your going to drive to this location make sure your aware your In the heart of downtown London and if you want to park your either about 1-2 blocks away for free street parking or paying 10+ dollars for a parking lot

Wheelchair accessibility: To access this building you have to walk down a flight of stairs. Since it is below the ground.

Stopped on a wim, NO REGRETS!! Service, amazing, food, damn good, prices, well everything we ordered was a special so not a fair judge, but regular prices were low compared to other places. We just ate at the bar, and our bartender, Z, just AMAZING and friendly! Perfect stars to him.
