We’ve been customers here for years and have never been disappointed — until now. The service during our last visit was truly awful.
When we arrived, we specifically asked for a sunny table and were told it was fine. We had a full conversation with the staff about wanting to enjoy the afternoon sun, and we chose our table outside for that exact reason.
About 20 minutes later, another couple arrived. Shortly after, a different waitress came over and, without saying a word, pulled the blinds down. I politely told her that we had chosen that spot to enjoy the sun and asked her to leave the blinds open. Her response was simply, “Too bad, the other clients asked for the blinds to be closed.”
I explained again that we were there first, had made a specific request, and had chosen that table for the sunshine. She completely ignored what I said and kept repeating, “They want the blinds down,” as if that automatically overruled our request. She didn’t listen at all — just kept saying the same thing, with a rude and dismissive attitude. This was back and for and she was becoming more rude and dismissal every second that pass .
What upset us most wasn’t even the blinds being down — it was the way she made us feel. Like our request didn’t matter and our presence wasn’t important. She treated us like we were a problem, not valued customers. We were so uncomfortable that we seriously considered leaving before our food even arrived.
Eventually, the owner stepped in, told the other waitress that the first guests to arrive get to choose, and another (much more respectful) waitress came over to raise the blinds. The original, rude waitress never came back to our table. She should not be working in customer service .
We left feeling very disappointed. We’ve always enjoyed coming here, but this experience was completely unacceptable. That kind of attitude has no place in customer service.

Absolutely the best pizza in London! Porcino is hands down my favourite spot in the city. The wood-fired oven gives every pizza an incredible, authentic flavour you can’t find anywhere else. Perfect crust, fresh ingredients, and a cozy atmosphere—this place never disappoints!

Veal parm was to die for! Great plating and presentation too! Perfect for Facebook posts, and for a friends dinner. Staff was average, but nice! The inside was cute and clean!

Pizza was paper thin and soggy, pasta was plain, the ravioli was ok but not filling. They didn't have oysters or regular juice like Iced tea for kids. No diet pop for a diabetic. They brought out cold bread which I do not think was made fresh with no butter or oil and balsamic. They were busy and only had two waitresses for the whole restaurant. My waitress didn't come back to check on us. I was waiting and waiting to ask for some balsamic and oil and by the time she finally came over our food was out.

It's a great place, and the food is delicious.
From an old pizza maker who has created and eaten a lot of pizza in my days, this is the Best pizza in town.

Another great meal at Porcinos. Even though Valentines Day service and food top notch. We ordered 4 spread appetizer which we knew we would not finish. Offered it to the young couple beside us and they enjoyed it. I said only in Canada would you do this. When we went to pay our bill, our server said the young couple paid for our appetizer. Didn’t expect that but shows you amazing people still out there. I hope that couple sees this review

3 out of 5 really enjoyed their meals. Waitress was pleasant but busy tending many tables, so created a bit of delay. Food presentation- 3 from 5 plated well.

My sister and I celebrated our birthdays over dinner at Porcino January 23rd . They reserved an Excellent table for us four. The aps we shared and the 4 salads & mains were all reported as excellent and the wine I chose - a Toscana - was awesome. We did not order off the Winterlicious menu as we were having dessert back at my place. My sister wants to know the name of the wine; she loved it that much. I think it was the only Toscana red available from wine list on January 23rd. Can you please reply with name and year?
