Walked into the Covent Market Place and the first thing I saw was this Korean food shop and lunch place.
I absolutely love Bibimbap, and haven’t had one in a couple years. So I ordered it and my mouth started drooling instantly.
I ordered #4 which is with egg & bbq pork.
The picture they have in front looks amazing.
Unfortunately, that’s where it goes downhill.
When my plastic bowl arrived, it was small and about 1/2 full.
The egg on top looked beautiful, I ask the person who made it for just a bit of fish roe on top. I said I’d be happy to pay extra. She politely declined the extra charge and she put about 1/4 of a teaspoon on top.
Bibimbap on the menu is an assortment of vegetables and meats on rice.
It was mostly diced cucumbers lettuce and some peas. And maybe 5 tiny pieces of pork.
With a drink and tax $18.
After I paid, I asked for the miso soup (clearly shown on the sign where I ordered from), and she simply said, we don’t have any.
She didn’t offer anything else.
The taste was about 1/2 of the anticipated flavour of what should be in the bowl.
I wouldn’t eat here again, it’s overpriced for the serving size. The person serving has no service skills. There are plenty of other places to eat in this Market. Don’t waste your time at this stall.
Zero service, and tiny portions are a perfect formula for disaster. BOOOOOO!!!!

I come here for the house poke bowl once a week! They even added half an egg ? to the bowl. Highly recommend this cute little gem!

So many choices packed into this fresh seafood market and Asian fusion food stall. Well priced, friendly and very decent freshly made portions. Take yourself on a culinary adventure without the hassle of security checks and jet lag. They have so much to choose from you will want to make more than a few trips back to try them all. Definitely a must try in the market.

My one criticism was that the dish (House Poke Bowl) was slightly too sweet. But otherwise, excellent.

This is the hidden gem of the marketplace. Absolutely the best fish and chips you can find around. This isn't your typical frozen fish. It's fresh and breaded lightly right in front of you! It was no surprise that it tasted so fresh. The poke bowl was outstanding! All the toppings you could ask for. They all work together in harmony. We will be coming back every time we are in town.
