garbage service dirty and dangerous, they serve warm calamari and treat there employees badly and don't pay them. mcdonalds is better.
First time going to the Bistro to celebrate Birthdays. The Waitress was supper nice. The food was not something I would right home about. Fries that were over cooked and tasted like they had been cooked in old oil or double cooked. The restaurant was cold as if there was a draft. We will not go back.

Great menu.
Great place to get together with friends.
It was fine! Didn't blow my mind, and I wouldn't come again, but pretty tasty food.
The wait staff was great, and the atmosphere was nice at quiet. (We were there at 4pm on a Wednesday so I imagine it's a lot busier other times lol)

We had made reservations for 1 PM however there were people seated quite close to the tree so we chose another table. The food was delicious. If I had one thing to say it would be add Mousaka onto the menu, and a ramp for those with mobility issues would be good. The city has not cleaned the sidewalk on the street it was extremely icy.

Great burger and fries! So many gluten free options... just for this reason we'll be back! Service a little slow, but very friendly! Also, very reasonable prices for food and drinks!!

Saganaki was brought out in a bowl of boiling oil (which continued cooking the cheese to an inedible stone). Wine tasted like dirty dish water. A million flies and fruit flies.

Food was decent but a little pricey for the atmosphere.

Honestly. Just need a drink or two on the patio with a couple of salads. Nice day, the treat at the end of a city wide bike ride. “We are in no rush” “let us have a drink before bringing food”
Order drink, order food. Food comes after second sip of drink. Get done drink and food. Sit and wait for server. 15 minutes, go and do her job to find our server frantically phoning staff for scheduling! Two servers couldn’t handle four tables.
Honestly. Just strange. I’ve tried so many times to like this location. It might be cursed.

Sweet Onion has been on my radar for quite some time. A good friend raved about a blooming onion that was out of this world. Unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found on the menu. The other options were great though.
I had a Sweet Onion Burger that was cooked to perfection and considering the plethora of toppings by the time I finished the burger I wasn't left with a soaking wet bun. My wife had a Chicken and Goat Cheese sandwich and was raving about it till the last bite. We both had fries as well and they were just the way we liked them.
Fridays are Karaoke night and there were a few regulars who partake and looked like they were having a great time inside. Lastly but not least both female servers working outside were on point and clearly enjoyed their jobs.

Sweet Onion Bistro is a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Byron. The restaurant boasts a charming atmosphere, impressive beer selection and a diverse menu.
Our party of eight, including my son, experienced exceptional service from the cordial and charismatic staff. Their attentiveness and warmth significantly enhanced our dining experience.
I ordered the BBQ Brisket sandwich, which was a standout dish. Everyone was equally pleased with their choices, from steaks to tacos and juicy burgers.

Great new menu! Brought back Bruchetta (wife loved that) and my favourite is the Beef Short Rib. Fall off the bone tender with a generous portion of garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. Nice varied menu with lots of choices. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Karaoke on Saturday (7 to 11pm) is always fun with Josh spinning the tunes.

Great food with interesting takes on old pub standards. Nice to have entertainment while you're eating, too.

My wife and I went here for lunch on Monday the 22nd of January.
We were celebrating so we ordered a bottle of wine. After about 5 mins the waitress came back and said they didn't have it but would give us another white wine and discount it at their half price Wednesday price. We ordered the next best thing which was more money (we wanted the cheapest bottle).
Then we order our food. I order the nachos and my wife orders the salmon. 5 mins later the waitress comes out and said they don't have salmon right now and she orders something else. My nachos come out like 3 mins later and her food comes out more than 10 mins later.
The cheese on the nachos was not even melted, one of the worst nachos that cost about 30 dollars after the add-ons.
But then we go to pay the bill and theres no discount on the wine, only the more expensive price. The waitress knew our whole experience was bad but couldn't do anything. She took down our number for the manager to call us... It's over a week now and haven't got a call.
