Ramen pork broth tastes nothing like how an actual tonkotsu should, though the mouth feel is alright. Noodles are cooked okay, but the alkaline flavour gets in the way of enjoying the soul. Egg is also cooked reasonably well, albeit very underseasoned. Pork is essentially Chinese style chashu and not Japanese style.
Curry's flavour is mostly from the limited amount of spice and is somewhat thin and lacking in body. Vegetables are completely forgettable. Pork katsu is crispy, but extremely overcooked.
Really not indicative of actual Japanese food, unfortunately.

Visited today, and got green dragon roll, which said no fish eggs but were topped with them, so disappointed a bit today. The texture to me throws me off. However the spicy crab roll was amazing.

Ordered today but have been a few times, always the most DEVINE food, authentic and sweet folk. I got their beef Gyoza ramen today and it came piping hot. Amazing presentation even in delivery, one mouthfull and you're in heaven. Always love their food and 11/10 reccomend to anyone in need of something yummy!!(Also if you're feeling sick and need something to sooth your throat, their soy sauce base ramen does the TRICK!!!) Thank you guys so much at Tanakaya for doing what you do and making such amazing dishes!!

The vegetarian tempura bento box is absolutely delicious!! Really lovely owners and staff. A great little family business to support. Delicate miso soup is always so yummy, and sushi is such a great price. I've enjoyed everything I've tried here over the years and keep coming back! 💕

Exactly what I wanted looking for: a small, quiet location to enjoy sushi downtown. Staff are gracious and very attentive. Spicy sushi actually has that spicy tinge to it unlike what the bigger restaurants serve. Will be trying their ramen next time, but from other reviews, I know it will be a good time. Would recommend again.
Best ramen in the city. Definitely some of the best ramen I've ever had in Canada. This has now become my goto ramen spot. Doesnt disappoint and the service and prices are super good.
