The vegetarian tempura bento box is absolutely delicious!! Really lovely owners and staff. A great little family business to support. Delicate miso soup is always so yummy, and sushi is such a great price. I've enjoyed everything I've tried here over the years and keep coming back! 💕

Exactly what I wanted looking for: a small, quiet location to enjoy sushi downtown. Staff are gracious and very attentive. Spicy sushi actually has that spicy tinge to it unlike what the bigger restaurants serve. Will be trying their ramen next time, but from other reviews, I know it will be a good time. Would recommend again.

I have only gotten delivery before so I can't speak for the store or atmosphere, but as someone who doesn't like the fishy taste of sushi this place typically has the best-tasting salmon sushi and their non-seafood dishes are fantastic for those adverse to seafood. Perfect place for when someone is up for sushi but you're not feeling it or prefer your salmon to be subtle. Typically split the salmon lover and beef short rib dishes.

The best Japanese restaurants ( TANAKAYA ) in town. Price is reasonable, tasty, staff are nice and helpful. They can speak trilingual in English, Cantonese and Mandrian! Highly recommend. Opening hours: 11am to 8pm 2 hours free parking at nearby carpark
This is an excellent Japanese izakaya. "Tanakaya" has affordable prices and excellent food. The boss and staff can speak three languages, fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. It is definitely recommended. Opening hours 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. There is an underground parking lot nearby with free parking for two hours.
